I have been looking for a report from my trip and thought I would do one myself.
First off, this was our first cruise ever and our Honeymoon at that. So I guess I start off with who we are....
The trip participants:
Me
DW
Yep, thats it.
So, Day negative 1
We head over to Deltona to drop off our pets at the DMIL's house. We saw no sense in driving all of the way back to Tampa just to have to head back in the AM, so we get a hotel at the Port. Comfort Inn and Suites. It was a nice hotel, but not worth the money we paid for one night. It was conviennent, bout 1/2 mile from the terminal.
Day 1:
We get up about 9 and get ready for our day. We leave the hotel at around 10 and arrive at the terminal about 10:10, huh? I thought it would have taken longer to get there. Luckily we only waited about 15 mins. The started letting us park at 10:25. We get into the terminal and are the second family in line. We waited about another 15 mins, then they started checking us in. The only problem was, they were not ready. The boarding passes did not arrive until after we had checked in. By the time we got ours, it was a 7. So first to check in, last to get on board. No problem, it was only a matter of 10 min from the first call for #1s till the first call for #7s.
We get onbaord and head straight for Beach Blanket for lunch. We get our food and find a nice table on the verandah to enjoy the meal. The DW just had to have a Bahama Mama, said it would not be a cruise with out one....haha.
After eating we perused the ship waiting for our 1:00 so we could get into our room.
We are finaly allowed to our room, 7503, and are stopped by Rohim, our stateroom attendant. This man was awsome. He knew who we were and wished us a Happy Honeymoon before he even saw what room we were heading.
We get to the room and our luggage was there waiting on us. So far a great start to our trip. In our room is a bottle of champaign and some choclate covered strawberries and a card from the staff. Wow, Disney knows how to take care of thier guests.
We walked around the ship until the sail away party.
After the party we had dinner at Parrot Cay. Nice resteraunt with good food and the conga line was kind of neat. We were seated with 3 other couples, all on thier honeymoon too. One couple was kind of feeling left out, they were a Japanese couple who spoke little english. They tried to participate in the conversation but the others were getting frustrated trying to communicate with them. Little did anyone know I lived in Japan for 3 years. So I positioned myself next to them and translated for everyone. They tanked me profusely and said they enjoyed the dinners with us.
After dinner was the Golden Mickeys. Nice show, nothing to realy write home about, but we enjoyed it.
After the show we headed to wavebands for the Match your Mate game. It was kind of dead when we walked in, but it quickly filled up in a matter of 15 mins. Guess people were changing after dinner or putting the kids down to bed. We stayed till around 2 am and then off to bed.
