I have been looking for a report from my trip and thought I would do one myself.

First off, this was our first cruise ever and our Honeymoon at that. So I guess I start off with who we are....

The trip participants:
Me
DW

Yep, thats it.

So, Day negative 1

We head over to Deltona to drop off our pets at the DMIL's house. We saw no sense in driving all of the way back to Tampa just to have to head back in the AM, so we get a hotel at the Port. Comfort Inn and Suites. It was a nice hotel, but not worth the money we paid for one night. It was conviennent, bout 1/2 mile from the terminal.

Day 1:

We get up about 9 and get ready for our day. We leave the hotel at around 10 and arrive at the terminal about 10:10, huh? I thought it would have taken longer to get there. Luckily we only waited about 15 mins. The started letting us park at 10:25. We get into the terminal and are the second family in line. We waited about another 15 mins, then they started checking us in. The only problem was, they were not ready. The boarding passes did not arrive until after we had checked in. By the time we got ours, it was a 7. So first to check in, last to get on board. No problem, it was only a matter of 10 min from the first call for #1s till the first call for #7s.

We get onbaord and head straight for Beach Blanket for lunch. We get our food and find a nice table on the verandah to enjoy the meal. The DW just had to have a Bahama Mama, said it would not be a cruise with out one....haha.

After eating we perused the ship waiting for our 1:00 so we could get into our room.

We are finaly allowed to our room, 7503, and are stopped by Rohim, our stateroom attendant. This man was awsome. He knew who we were and wished us a Happy Honeymoon before he even saw what room we were heading.

We get to the room and our luggage was there waiting on us. So far a great start to our trip. In our room is a bottle of champaign and some choclate covered strawberries and a card from the staff. Wow, Disney knows how to take care of thier guests.

We walked around the ship until the sail away party.

After the party we had dinner at Parrot Cay. Nice resteraunt with good food and the conga line was kind of neat. We were seated with 3 other couples, all on thier honeymoon too. One couple was kind of feeling left out, they were a Japanese couple who spoke little english. They tried to participate in the conversation but the others were getting frustrated trying to communicate with them. Little did anyone know I lived in Japan for 3 years. So I positioned myself next to them and translated for everyone. They tanked me profusely and said they enjoyed the dinners with us.

After dinner was the Golden Mickeys. Nice show, nothing to realy write home about, but we enjoyed it.

After the show we headed to wavebands for the Match your Mate game. It was kind of dead when we walked in, but it quickly filled up in a matter of 15 mins. Guess people were changing after dinner or putting the kids down to bed. We stayed till around 2 am and then off to bed.

Day 2 Comming up

Day 2:

Up at 7 am. We had booked the Junkanoo/forts tour which meets at 9:45. We ate at beach blanket again and then watched Capt John gracefully park us at the pier in Nassau.

The fort tour was good, the best part by far was the Junkanoo part. We had more fun there than at any of the forts. The only down side was an unruley child whose parent refused to control. The mother left it up to the daughter to try to control the kid. He was into everything and just would not listen.

After the tour, we went to Hard Rock for lunch then off to do some shopping. We mentioned Chad and got some great deals. We were back on the ship by 3 and by the pool by 3:15. This would be the only time we were bothered by kids. There was a couple of teenage boys who appearantly could not read. They insisted on playing tag in the quite cove area, tripping over people, running around screaming, throwing stuff at each other. They left and came back 3 more times before a CM stepped and put a stop to it.

Dinner tonight was at Tritons. I heard this was the best restaraunt on the ship, but it was out least favorite. The food was good, but it was boring. No show, just, Blah. We still had a great dinner, but if we had to skip one in the future, it would be this one.

Tonights show was Toy Story. We opted to skip this one and went to change for the Pirate Party. We were all decked out and one of a few adults who actualy dressed up for the party. We went shopping for some stuff and saw Jack Sparrow doing photos. How cool, BUT, we missed him by 2 familys. Dang, but we did convince the photographer to take our picture with the backdrop and props while we were all dressed up. We were the ONLY picture using the back drop and props that did not have Jack in them. Made it kind of cool. I do have to mention, the photographer said he could not take a photo using our camera, against rules, but he did go find another CM to take one for us....that was nice of him.

So, off to the pirate party. I wont go into too much detail, but will say it was a blast. Loved every second of it.

After the Party and the dessert bar, we went to wavebands for Karokee. No singing here, but there were some entertaining folks. We stayed until around 1 am then off to bed.

Next stop, Castaway Cay.........

Day 3:

We wake early again. Too excited to sleep. We were expecting to be docked and ready to go by the time we got up, but the weather was not cooporating that day. Capt John tried for 1 1/2 hours to dock but could not get in there. We sat out in the ocean for a couple hours and he tried again. EVERYONE on board was watching this attempt. Talk about pressure. Slowley he eased it back into position and finnaly, at 10:30 we were on Castaway Cay.

The DW had won the Castaway Cay package one night at wavebands so off we went to Gill's to retrieve our snorkel equipment. We staked our claim at some chairs on the family beach and went snorkeling. I loved the snorkel lagoon and we ended up spending 2 hours in the water. The water was a bit chilly at first, but you got used to it, until you got back out.

After snorkeling, we ate lunch at Cookies BBQ. This was by far the BEST meal I had on the entire trip. I went back for seconds and would have been thirds if the DW didnt get tired of waiting on me. The Cajun Mahi Mahi is the best.

After lunch we got our tubes and just floated in the lagoon. We had wanted to spend more time out in the water but the wind so blowing so strong it kept pushing us too far out and we would have to paddle back in. We floated for about an hour before we got tired of fighting the wind, then we just laid out.

Dinner tonight was AP. The one we were looking forward to. It was optional dress up night and EVERYONE at our table dressed up. I was suprised and happy. It made the dinner so much more special and memorable.

The show tonight was Dreams. I loved this show and I found myself singing along and swaying with the music. I would recommend this show for anyone on board, do not miss it.

After the show, we walked around deck 10 one last time. It was aromantic stroll. We were still dressed in our nice cloths from dinner and the weather was beutiful. A fitting last night to our cruise.

The final day and we didnt want it to end. But even departing, Disney made it enjoyable. No lines, no hassel, no trouble. We claimed our bags and was out the door in a matter of mins and on our way home to our real lives....sigh.
