Ok!! we started our Land/Sea vacation at the POLY. We originally upgraded to LVC when we booked so all our PS's were taken care of. We were able to enjoy the Fantasmic Dinner Package, Candlelight Processional Package with outdoor dining at the Rose & Crown during Illuminations, CRT, Crystal Palace, MVMCP with LTT, and Spirit of Aloha. We had great tables with all our PS's!!!Our Land stay was excelllent we had room 3516 in the Hawaii building with spectacular views of Cindy's Castle, Lagoon and Fireworks!!! We ended up taking the motorboats to the MK as they were running every 10 to 12 minutes and we were able to see them coming from our balcony.
Ok it couldn't get anymore Magical, but it did!!!
We went to the DCL desk to turn in our documentation and they handed me a Concierge check-in pass. I didn't think anything of it because our documents had our room that we requested 8528 (Cat 4, Deluxe Family Verandah Stateroom). I thought anyone who checked in at the resorts are able to use this to bypass regular check-in at the terminal.
So we went to the Concierge check-in line (no wait) to turn in my mother in law's passport. They confirmed that our documentation was in order and that we will be in Stateroom 8548. We were not sure if they mentioned the room in error because we told them we had been confirmed for 8528 for quite sometime. OK this is what I was thinking they had moved us under the Goofy Pool, which they did but I did not realize that WE HAD BEEN UPGRADED TO A CATEGORY 3- One Bedroom Suite until the CM told me!!!
They jokingly told me that we did not have to take the upgrade. I quickly said we will take the upgrade!!
They handed us an invitation to join the Concierge Staff in the Cadillac Lounge for an introduction.
We walked on board and went to the lounge and Jaco introduced us to the services available for the concierge guests. They registered the children in the clubs, made our reservations for the spa, Palo's and Bridge Tour and if anything else was needed to call them. By the time we finished which was not long at all we were able to go to our room. We walked in and it was amazing. We had a bowl of fruit, water and soft drinks waiting for us. I opened up two notes one said Welcome and the other said we had a $100.00
shipboard credit to our account
The suite was unbelievable!!! They even made sure my Bon Voyage Amenity was all set up in the room!!!
Well that was part of our first day, more to come later.
