*I AM going to call and make a doctor's appointment; I just want to know if anyone here has had the same or a similar problem. I don't have any IRL friends who use Depo*

**Again, possible TMI warning!**

I got my first Depo shot the first week of November 2009, and have had 2 more since then (end of January and end of April, every 12 weeks). My last "regular" AF was October 2009, and after I got the shot, I had only VERY light spotting up until June 16th. I have been spotting since then, which will be 2 weeks tomorrow.

Has this happened to anyone else? Why would I start spotting out of the blue, and for 2 weeks straight to boot? When I said I had very light spotting til now, I mean it; it was extremely light brown and barely visible. I really didn't like the shot for various reasons, and the Dr has already given me a prescription for the Nuva Ring (which I had been on from Feb-Nov 2009).

TIA! :flower3:

I was on the Depo shot for about 9 years. I never had spotting.
But different bodies react differently to the shot. Some people have gained weight, some people have more than spotting.
After the baby is born I am going back on the Depo Shot!

i had spotting.
I used depo due to hormone problem, heavy periods, break throughts on going.
Although I had my tubes tied at 40 untio 50 yrs old I used the shots. Sometimes I thought I was cured as I did not have spotting, but bingo, back again.

I was given an extra shot the first month of breakthrough, and then I had provera pills if any breakthrough.
If off a day, you can start to spot too.
Hope it works out ok,

I would spot when it was almost time for me to get another shot. I only lasted two shots with it though. I had issues with weight gain and depression with it. After I went off took 6 months for everything to fix itself.

I was on depo for awhile, and I had regular periods with it--lighter than normal, but lasted 5-6 days. I also gained about 30 pounds while I was on it.
