:tinker: :tinker: :tinker: :tinker: Hey guys! I am looking for a Tinkerbell costume to wear for MNSSHP on Sept. 23. I found a cute one on Ebay made by someone in Australia and emailed her about it but she has not replied in a few days at all. I don't know many people around here who sew nor do we have alot of local material stores to get costume material from....not even Wal Mart has that anymore!

So, I was wondering if anyone knew about a website or person that would make one...I would buy one online but I am a size 18 and most of the costumes look really skimpy and I've heard they run small. My almost 4 yr old ds is DYING for me to be Tink b/c he has a new Peter Pan costume. My dh is going to be Capt. Hook.

Anyone have any advice??? Thanks sooo much for any help given!

Oh yeah...here is the link to the one I wanted on Ebay...it's simple and not so skimpy!

Why don't you just buy it from Disney shopping? I am posting the link-I hope I am not breaking any rules doing so, but here it goes:

We will be at that party too! I hope to see you! I'll keep a look out for Tink:thumbsup2. Not sure what we're all going as (me,DH & DD(7)), but I will have a lime green Mickey with my user name on my backpack! Keep an eye out for me!;)

Sorry-just read the size part. I am close to that too so I am not sure if they have a larger size, but I would call to see.

Find a local dance store that sells leotards and stuff. They usally have tons of leaotards in all sizes and colors. They may have a tutu in th same color. If not, they could order it. If not, at the fabric store buys several yards of tulle/netting, usually $1 or $2 a yard. Get a length of elastic, sized to go around your waist or hips. Then, cut the netting into 4-5" wide strips, trim to points at the ends. The strips should be double the final length. So, if you want the skirt to be 24" inches long make the strips 48" long etc. Then loop them around the waist band and pass the cut ends through the loop and snug up. Keep doing this, adding strips until you reach the fullness you want. Add some sparkle glitter or even find the netting with the sparkles.

Check this out for a visual:

Good Luck!
