today I saw a pregnant woman..who is expecting twin girls..isn't that cool. she was just so nice I couldn't help but want to help her. I send out love, happiness and health to her.. I hope everyone see's how great she is by doing this.

ok, not to be rude, but i really dont think its such a big deal. my little sisters are identical twins. there were several sets of twins at my school when i was in highschool. so really, unless she's having the babies for someone else, i dont think its any more special than anyone else.

but i will say that parents of twins probably need as much help as they can get. my little sisters were terrors

It sounds like you are very happy for this woman, but I just don't understand the reason for the thread. But best of luck to the mom-to-be!

That's nice of you to keep her in your thoughts. When I was pregnant with my twins (they are my 4th and 5th children), I had a cashier at a grocery store write down my name and tell me that she would be praying for me and for the babies. It was very sweet. I still seek out this cashier and my twins are almost 3.

Twin pregnancies are tough. Every pregnancy is wonderful. I just never realized how much more complicated a twin pregnancy could be until I went through it.

Umm, hmm, OP, many many women have been pregnant with multiples ... why should this woman be singled out as "great" ... ?

Twin pregnancies are tough. I just never realized how much more complicated a twin pregnancy could be until I went through it.

But the OP did not state that the lady was having a tough time.

I have twins, and there are SO many sets of twins these days! Seriously, once they get to JH, I know of about 10 other sets, personally, just from town activities. Mine are b/g, in different classes, and a lot of people don't even know they are twins (and they look nothing alike).

...and I wasn't talking about this lady. I was just stating that from MY experience, twin pregnancies are tough. It's fairly routine for every twin pregnancy to come with a lot of extra monitoring.....especially if the twins are felt to be identical. I don't think most people realize, regardless of how common multiples are, that having twins is not simply being pregnant and coming home with 2 babies. I know that I didn't. I'm not saying that we are any more special. Heck, I have 3 singletons too and those pregnancies were just as special.

I found out I was having twins at 9 wks along. The story of the rest of my pregnancy could be stated as, "We'll just keep monitoring it." It was a very scary and stressful time (and of course it was wonderful too). I am so thankful that things turned out so well for my little twinkies...and I appreciated every prayer that anyone was willing to make for us. As a matter of fact, one of my girl's middle name is Faith...because that, and all the prayers/support we got, is what got us through a lot of these days.

Maybe the thread is odd...but I've seen far worse things posted than someone saying she felt moved to show support for another human being.

It's amazing, isn't it. My twin girls are in a small preschool class. They are one of three sets of twins in this class.
