Wolfgang Puck Upstairs for BD or other

I get to choose place for my BD dinner. I have Wolfgang Puck Upstairs tenatively, but now realize I haven't read much about it. Is that a bad thing? Opinions?

Is CG a better choice? Where would you choose?
Exclude V&A's --DS's 11 and 14 both behave in restaurants, but I don't take them there, frankly.
We are staying at the Poly, plan is/was to take cab to WP.

I have not been to WP Upstairs in several years but I would say that it's about equal to CG, both in food and noise level (yes, it's noisy there because it's open to the Cafe below).

Honestly, I'd keep the reservation. I always think it's fun to try new places.
