We were so excited to get reservations for Wolfgang Puck's. However, what a disappointment! The food was just OK. The service was terrible. And when my son went to pay his bill, they told him he didn't have any table credits left on the dining plan. My hubby and I were with them every meal and ours worked fine. After about 25 minutes, it was all straightened out, but by then the boys (3 and 6) were so crabby we couldn't even wait for the dessert! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!!:guilty:

By the way, always save every receipt for snacks, counter service, and table service meals in case your card isn't accurate. My hubby and I lost out on 3 snacks the last day--they claimed we had none but we know the last receipt said we had three remaining. We could have gone to Pop to check it out (apparently the computer keeps track of each purchase), but it wasn't worth the time or energy. I also don't think we'll do the dining plan anymore. Way too much food, and I swear that once the restaurant knows you're on the dining plan the service goes out the window.

Just wondering why it is Wolfgang Puck's fault that the credits were messed up? Seems like you are blaming them for something that was probably a computer error or a mistake by a previous restaurant that took off too many credits.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it.

We always keep track of credits used everytime we buy something that way we can resolve it right then, no issue at the next meal or snack.

We were also disappointed with Wolfgang Puck on our last trip after enjoying it a lot the year before.

The biggest issue was a server who was trying to rush out us as quickly as possible but we also found the desserts felt too much like they were prepackaged after really enjoying them the year before.

Funny the first time we went we had low expectations and were pleasantly surprised. The next time we were really looking forward to it and were disappointed. Maybe it pays to have low expectations.:confused3

We had a bummer of a meal there last week as well.

The food as all right, but not that great. Nothing worth going out of our way for, but not terrible.

One of our salads came out covered in sea salt, which was icky. The soups were fine, and my artichoke dip was just a big crock of pizza-flavored cheese. Not terrible, but not something I needed more than 2 bites of.

As for the entrees, the macadamia crusted chicken was good, the burger was fine, and the fish and chips were quite greasy.

The service was the real issue. We had a seating at 11:30 and had to leave for the airport at 12:45pm. There was some kind of an issue with their printers in the kitchen, and our starters were delayed for 30 minutes. With the 10 minutes it took to be seated and order, it was almost 12:15 before our first course came out.

When we asked the server what was going on and mentioned that we had to leave for the airport, he gave us a condescending lecture on how the Deluxe DDP was "an experience" and couldn't be rushed. I was pretty irritated with him after that--an hour and 15 minutes is plenty of time to allow for a meal!

They got our entrees out pretty quickly, though we had to hunt our server down for missing items. We wound up having to skip dessert because there simply wasn't time even to have it wrapped up before he had to leave.

They knew we were ticked and so they comped the meal, but given that we were on the DDP and leaving for the airport (which they knew) it didn't really do us that much good, did it?

We'll be skipping the Cafe for the next few trips, I think.

We had great service and an awesome waitress. The food however, left much to be desired. After so much anticipation, we were greatly disappointed in the quality of the food. Our waitress shared a bit of info with us. She said that Wolfgang no longer owns the restaurant, just rents out his name. We will not be going back.

Next time try Wolfgang Puck Express. I think it is a CS and it's one of our favorites.:cheer2:

sad to hear. we've been there 3 times before between 07-09 and had both good food and good service. we weren't on the dining plan at the time so i can't speak to that. i do think disney as a whole has tried to save money by cutting corners with all of their restaurants since the economy has gotten rough and they've been offering free dining and i think it shows in the decline in quality people are complaining of.

I thought this place was subpar. While the soup was good there, the pizza was soggy and not very good at all

I'm not blaming them for the credits mistake; however, the first hour and a half WAS their fault--bad food; terrible service. They did call Pop Century and figured out the problem, but that took 25 minutes!

We have had better experiences eating lunch at WPC over dinner.

Bad service can happen anywhere, anytime unfortunately. We had a rash of bad service this past October at a few signatures. We also do not participate in the dining plan though just given bad service.
