We'll be on the dining plan this December and are considering trying WPC for one of our table service choices. Will anyone share their experiences there and make some recommendations from the menu?

TIA!:goodvibes

Our meal at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe was one of our two best meals at Disney in August 2006 (the other was Kona Cafe). These two restaurants were by far superior (food wise) to any place else that we ate on a 10-day trip to Disney.

Here's what we ordered from the menu:

crab cakes
spring rolls
butternut squash soup
macadamia nut crusted breast of chicken
steak (do not remember what kind, though)
key lime pie
cheesecake

:cloud9: Yum!

As with anything, performance varies.... WPC has twice been one of our worst dining experiences. We couldn't find anything positive about the food and even less about the service and brutally noisy atmosphere. WPC is one of the few "we'll never go back" WDW restaurants for DH and me.

Used to love WPC, but sadly service and quality of food has taken a turn for the worst. We had an amazing experience there in 06, so we didnt want to miss it on our recent trip this sept. We made our ADRs early, and were all looking forward to it. Sad to report cold food, outrageously loud atmosphere, and horrible service. However, there are plenty of people here on the boards who swear by Wolfgang Puck Express, and say that the quality there is great. Perhaps you might catch a few of your favorites there at the express, and save your sit down meal for a better restaurant? I hope you have a great vacation!

It's been two years since we've eaten at Wolfgang Puck Cafe, but when we were there the food was delicious. We had an early dinner there and it was not crowded and we had a very attentive server. For some reason, our kids were hyper and mis-behaved here, but that was probably since this was on our last day of a long DDP trip. I guess the kids can only take so many sit-down meals. Wolfgang Puck can be a good value on the DDP since several of there meals are quite pricey. Had I not been on the dining plan, I might even say overpriced.

We ate at the Wolfgang Puck Express this year and it was delicious too.

We ate at WPE in September on the free DD plan.
Got a wonderful table by the window.
Had wonderful service.
DD wanted sushi and they had a sushi plater to die for:thumbsup2
I had catch of the day, Mahi-Mahi/ mushroom rosotto(enough for 2!)

You just have to try for yourself, any given day can be a good and bad dinner.

We've eaten at WPC once and never again. The service was terrible. The place wa s busy but lots of empty tables. It took 1 and 1/2 hours to get our lunch. The waiter took 1/2 hour to caome to take our order. My DH was ready to just leave. The food was so-so and the snotty waiters who were sooo slow just turned us right off. We never gave the place a second chance. However, Wolfgang Puck Express has been great. The pot-roast is delicious. Large portions and just don't eat the water soaked corn on the cob. We've made the Express part of every trip.
