TIA
I called yesterday and was told this would be one the dining plan for 2008. I asked several times if it would be since I know it is not on the OFFICIAL list yet. Is this the one that is Downstairs? Also is the main dining room upstairs on the plan? I don't think it is looking at the prices but just wondering. Also, I remember reading about exclusions from the dining plan. Does anyone know what these are? And last but not least, if you ate here on the dining plan or not - did you enjoy your meal? We're going to be going here for lunch (1:00 pm) I know they have more at supper but we're going to Narcoossee's for the first time!

Thanks again.

I can only answer your question about the food. We ate there in Oct. and we were on the DDP. The food was excellent!! It was probably the best meatball I've ever had. The artichoke/cheese dip was to die for and the carrot cake was melt in your mouth. Our ADR was for 4 o'clock and we sat on the bottom floor by the window.

Wolfgang Puck Upstairs does NOT participate in the dining plan. Only the downstairs cafe does.

Downstairs not upstairs.

The only issue was that sushi could not be an appetizer (but could be entree), but that isn't an issue in 08.

Food was good. Least fav meal of trip, but we had terrific meals all around, so it was the "worst of the best". Actually I felt my alfredo was bland, but DH & I switche meals (for his spicy chicken pasta), and then we were both happy!

Narcoosees was terrific, too. I made that ADR to get lobster & then I got sidetracked...if I had the lobster, (DM did), it would have been best meal. (Le Cellier is close...Narcoosees desserts are far better; but risotto at Le Cellier was amazing, not so much at Narcoosees; and Le Cellier is only 1 credit!)

WPC is VERY noisy...I was amazed! High ceilings I guess.

You said that the sushi wouldn't be an issue for an appetizer in 08. What did you mean by that? Do you think it will?
I'm looking forward to all our meals next year. We're going to be on the deluxe plan and we're going to try a lot of restaurants that we haven't tried in the past. It's going to be hard missing some of our favorites this time but then again - we know we'll be back!
Thanks everyone for replying.

They probably mean that in 2008, appetizers are not included for the basic DDP. It would be relevant for you because you are on the deluxe plan, which does include appetizers.

I think what KKB meant by "not an issue" is that appetizers aren't included in the DDP in '08 at all, therefore, wouldn't need to be specifically excluded (since no appetizers are included). On the deluxe DDP, appetizers will still be included, and I would guess the sushi will still be excluded.

WPC was very good--better than I expected, though loud, like KKB said. The potato chips with blue cheese and truffle cream sauce (appetizer) were TO DIE FOR. Sounded weird but OMG I could have eaten two plates of those all by myself.

That explains it. I was holding out hope but guess you guys are right about the confusion in the dining plans. We're on the deluxe like you said so starters are a must for us! Anyway I did try the sushi back in 2000 -I'm sure they probably have a new chef by now - but it wasn't what I was expecting. We have a favorite Sushi / Korean restaurant near us and nobody has topped him yet. It melts in your mouth!
So I have HIGH expectations when it comes to my sushi.
