Wolfgang Puck Cafe on DDP

Wow I would be interested in knowing if this is true since we were planning to reserve for our first night's dinner.

My family and I were there in early May and enjoyed Wolfgang Puck's on the DDP. I would check the Disney website to be sure they are still listed as a participating restaurant. It was a GREAT meal so I hope it works out!

Is that the restaurant or the express place?

Wolfgang Puck Cafe is the restaurant. (There is also an upstairs seating section with a more upscale menu that is definitely NOT on the DDP.) The downstairs sit-down restaurant is on the DDP according to the WDW website. Wolfgang Puck Express is counter service and is in a different location than the restaurant. Did I just confuse you more??:confused3 Sorry if I did! :goodvibes

I ate at both Wolfgang Puck Express (CS) and at Wolfgang Puck Cafe (TS) on the West Side during my May 5th-13th trip. Both were on the DDP at that time. Now Wolfgang Puck upstairs has never been on the DDP. Maybe that's the one she was talking about.

FYI: When I received my ticket to sign I noticed that the total was only $37.00. I asked the waiter about it and he said that since WGP's is not Disney owned that that's all they get reimbursed for the DDP (no matter what the customer orders and that includes the waiters tips).

I made ADRs for Wolfgang's Cafe West Side on Sept 7th about 3 weeks ago with no problem, and they knew we're DDP. If there's been a change I haven't heard about it. In the past, if a restaurant's status changed after we made ADRs, they called us. (Sci-Fi Dine In refurb, Sept 2005).

A quick call to Disney Dining would confirm. As far as I know they still are available on DDP, we ate there in Feb.

I just ate there on the dining plan in May. FYI though, the express that was not next to the actual restaurant but on the other side of DT disney was delicious and I felt as though I was cheating by having that be a quick service, it was so good. Then when I ate at the actual Wolfgang Puck Cafe it was horrible. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer it tasted like rings of salt, and I like salty foods, but this was WAY too much. For an entree I got the macadamia chicken at the suggestion of the waitress it was bordering ok. For desert, I will give credit where it is due, the carrot cake was absolutely delicious. Later that night I woke up very sick I'll spare you the details. My advice would be go somewhere else.

When I had the calamari it was some of the best I had ever had, am on a low salt diet can usually taste added salt. Wife loved the Mac. Chicken; its one of Puck's signature dishes. They must have had an off night.
BTW, WGP only gets $35 for dinner from the DDP and the waitstaff is paid on that. I gave the waiter a ten spot up front after confirming this. Had GREAT service. Left another $10 when leaving. We took our desserts to go when we got back to the room food - found an order of flat bread and cheese also. Wife had told him how much she liked it.

I have no complaints.

I was actually thinking that the calamari had to have been some sort of mistake, because there was no way anyone could ever have tasted that and decided it was good. Maybe a shaker fell in it or something. Seriously I can't even explain how salty it was.

For your sake, I hope no one in the kitched is tasting the calamari before its brought out to you!

not that particular plate! just tasted tha calamari in general, at one point in time.
