I have read where the non Disney restaurants that are on the DP only give their waitstaff a set tip and so they do not get a percentage of what you order.

That should not make a difference but maybe it does to some.

When I asked our very nice waitress about it she said it was fine by her as many non American guests do not tip at all.

Maybe you just got someone who was having an 'off' day too.

My wife and I loved WGP but had an odd thing happen. We were sitting at the bar eating and she mentioned that her neck was hurting so I went into my fanny pack and gave her some Advil. Two women next to us were staring at us and leaned over and said, "are you sure you know what that is?" (and they were serious)

Like I would be giving my wife some kind of Micky (and I don't mean the mouse). I was pretty darn offended to be honest.

Maybe those folks thought you guys had just met at the bar and were watching out for your dw? If you think of it that way maybe you will feel better? You would want someone to do that for your daughter one day.

I remember being given the same advice about taking 'foreign' substances or leaving my drink alone eons ago.

I am sorry your feelings were hurt though. That says a lot about what a good guy you are.
