Have you had it before?
My dh dh it and it makes him sick if it comes on.
That is how he feels too. He had gone to teh doctor about it and has meds he takes when he feels it come on but he also has meneres disease which vertigo is part of the joy that comes along with it. Make a dr appt.

I had that happen to me before. I had fluid in my ears and the motion from my rolling over in my bed in my sleep wtlyould cause the vertigo, which would then wake me up.
I've had it a few times over the years, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. My first bout was the worst, as it lasted 2 1/2 days. I got up in the morning and fell on my face, the room was spinning.
Since then, most of the timesI've had it,it has been fairly short lived. Just so you know, meclizine is the active ingredient in Dramamine. It does work, but will make you drowsy.

. I agree with Luv Bunnies & chamonix, sounds very much like BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo). My Mom suffers with it occasionally and has meds that helps w/dizziness. Altho no laughing matter, actually rather scary, but we joke when her doctor says he needs to maniuver the rocks in her ears.

Ask your doctor if it could be positional vertigo. I used to get dizzy lying down with my head in certain positions. If I would move my head, the dizziness would go away. The doctor said it was little crystals in my inner ear that would shift when I moved my head the wrong way. She called it positional vertigo and had me take meclazine when it happened.
