Any information from DVCers about the new World of Color at DL? We'll be there at the end of July and it seems very confusing. Has anyone been to see it yet?

Haven't seen it myself (I was there just before it opened) but there are lots of threads on the DLR forums.

We went last weekend. I recommend buying a dinner package to get access to the 'preferred viewing' area.

The best view is from the viewing area and you need to get a fast pass for that. You can do this three ways.

Book the dining package at Ariels or Wine Country Trattoria
Reserve a picnic dining package
Line up early in the morning to get a fast pass from the fast pass machines at GRR.

If you don't do one of these things you could view from the PP area or from the viewing terrace at VGC.

So the DVC wing's view platform turn out to be nothing? Oh well I guess when they design the new addition, they didn't know the WOC show will only have good view from the paradise park only.

We saw world of color last night as VGC guests and I saw no reason to do a dinner package or jump through other hoops. We lined up for park entry at 9:20 and they began letting in resort guests at 9:30. By 9:45 we has our Fastpasses for the early WoC show and were waiting for rope drop at the park.

WoC was swamped early due do demand from local fans and the simple fact that SoCal pass holders only had a few days to see the show before being blacked out for the summer. Now that blackout dates are in effect, it appears pretty easy to get passes if you arrive at opening.

The sixth floor viewing deck is also an option but doesn't provide the best view.

Does WOC go on every night? We'll be there on Sunday and Monday nights.

We were there on the 18 and used the dining package at Wine Country Trattoria. Food/service was great. Premiums viewing was nice, however for best viewing stand on steps or see if you can make your way to the railing. You will get misted but the views from those two spots are nice.
