WOC vs and/or Halloween Screams

For an upcoming trip I am trying to decide If I can do both or which would be better to go to WOC (Is it different than the one before the damage that occurred? I have seen it a few years ago) or the Halloween Screams?

It would be on a Wed night so 8:15 WOC and 9:30 Fireworks.

I saw Fantasmic last year so that is not as high on my list.

The fireworks for Halloween screams are only on the weekend. Weekdays it's the projections and music.

On non-OBB nights, WOC is the original show. PP is correct that fireworks are only shown on weekends. HS is projections only on weeknights. If you are alone or in a group with no strollers/no mobility issues and view WOC near the back or by a walkway, you should be able to walk quickly from DCA to DL and still make it to Main Street to see HS. I've heard that on weeknights, the viewing areas are not crowded.

Just came back from DL, and can confirm that the viewing areas for HS without fireworks are not crowded - there was no one camping out on Main Street when I walked by 30 mins before (despite the parks being very busy overall), and I watched from ROA where it was very easy to get a good spot after F! I wouldn’t expect too much out of this, though - I don’t think the projections without fireworks stand on their own that well.
