My mom and I are going to Disneyland in October! :cool1: So, first of all, do they show World of Color every night in October? And second, has anyone done the picnic? Is the food good? Is the seating the same as the fastpass seating, or is a better, less crowded area?

There is no seating for WOC. There is standing. The last two Octobers WOC showed every night. There are rumors WOC will go down for a refurb sometime in the next year. That could be this fall. WOC picnics do not get you anything special above regular free FPs.

Check this thread which ha slots of good info and will be updated soon to reflect new color sections and dining sections.

We have done the picnics and they are nice cold meals. We did this instead of rushing/worrying about missing out on FP's for the WOC...we like to not rush :thumbsup2

There is a nice area to eat the picnic meals in as well:thumbsup2

Unfortunately like pp said there is NO SEATING...and people do stake out their "post" a while before the show starts...it can be kind of hectic:sad2:

There really isn't a "worry" on missing out on FPs anymore.

I've done the picnics twice now. The most recent time was for the 10:!5 show on Friday 6/29. True, it only gets you the same as a free FP, however, they did let us in first. When we were lining up for the show they separated the regular free FP yellow section from the yellow section who ordered the picnics. We were led into our section first and sent right down by the railing above the boardwalk. We did get wet there, but it was a decent view.

Just wanted to mention that our experience recently was that you do get slightly better opportunity than those who did not pay anything. Also we were literally the first ones in because we lined up/hung around at 9:15 and chatted up the CMs instead of waiting for the 9:45 return time listed on the ticket.

ETA: Having said all that, I think in the future I'll just go with the machine FPs and jockey for position. Or splurge for one of the dining packages.

we went last year and could sit on the ground, like for Fantasmic, while waiting for the show to begin
