WOC - How crowded is 2nd showing on a weekend?

Going to DL next weekend and trying to pick which days to go to DL vs DCA.
Was originally thinking DCA on Thursday and hope WOC wouldn't be too crowded with just 1 showing. But the crowd calendar said DL is likely to be less busy, so I was thinking to go there that day instead.
But with 2 shows on the weekend, it seemed like sometimes the 2nd showings aren't too crowded? So going on a weekend wouldn't be a big deal?
Thanks for any help.

World of Color is busy no matter what. Each show only has a certain number of Fastpasses to give out, so the crowds won't EXCEED that number. You can only see World of Color (at least as it is intended) with a FP, you don't just show up at showtime. On a day when there is only one show, obviously everyone goes to the first. I have been to the parks on days when there were three shows and that late one was not as crowded. As long as you get your Fastpass for WOC, you will have a spot to stand. How good of a spot you get will depend on how early you are willing to line up before the show starts.

As far as what park to do when, I would absolutely recommend getting a park-hopper. There is no point in getting one-day-one-park tickets when hopping is so easy. That way, you could start in Disneyland, go to DCA and get a WOC Fastpass, but then spend most of the day in Disneyland if you liked, returning in the evening for the show. Or, maybe if you're in Disneyland and it seems a bit crowded, you can pop over to DCA and ride those rides. It's best to be flexible.
