Hi all,

I wonder if anybody could explain to me how I would get FP to see WOC? I have read a few threads out here but I admit to not knowing all the abbreviations and I'm just feel like I am missing something. Can somebody please let me know what I need to do to try to get my family in?

We will be staying at the GCV. It sounds like I can get FP the AM of 6/11. What time and where do I go? Do we all have to be present? IF it's during park opening, I assume we all have to have used our admission tickets in order for the FP to work? Are they available the crack of opening time? Does anybody know what opening time is that day?

Sorry - I just need it explained 'for dummies'!!!! I haven't had much computer time and wanted to try to figure this out before we leave!

TIA!!!

Try reading Post #1 in World of Color Superthread and then see if you still have questions. :)

las3888, I think it's really important to point out that part of the confusion you are experiencing is due to the fact that Disney has not officially described how this will work yet.

Most everything linked above is speculation - not fact. While much of it *may* be based on facts heard from various sources, it is NOT from Disney directly.

Yes, HydroGuy, this thread was helpful. Sounds like I will need to get a FP at the Grizzly ride (isn't this near the GCV entrance also?). Do you happen to know if there are early park hours that day for hotel guest members? Does Disneyland do this?

I understand what you are saying, Dreams. While part of me is excited that I might get to see this during our trip, there is definitely a part of me that secretly wishes we were missing it so I wouldn't have to stress over how to get in. On top of it, we are traveling with my parents who are on the elderly side--this is not going to be fun for them...

I might check into viewing it from the hotel when we get there if it's possible...

Thanks for pointing this out, and it is important for everyone to keep in mind that there are still lots of rumors about WoC. However, I have been updating the thread based on Disney information and rumors and I disagree that most of it is speculation at this point. Much of the post is based on what Disney has stated. Yes, Disney can change their mind, but I think we are past the point where "most everything is speculation".

Here is what we know (or at least what Disney has published)

o We know when WOC will open.
o We know how many shows there will be (2). We know they will happen at 9PM and 10:15PM.
o We know for awhile Disney posted DCA hours on their website to 11PM before changing it back to 10PM. (This lends credence to the "third show" rumor which is rumor right now)
o We know there are dining reservations
o We know Disney added Aladdin shows in the evening - which helps explain the "Glow Fest"

:)

The GCH (not GCV) has a special entrance for all DLR hotel guests. It is very near the GRR FP machines. Recent experience is that this entrance opens at 9:30AM - the same time as the regular DCA gates.

Al Lutz is reporting that Disney may open this special line at 8AM to allow DLR hotel guests to get a jump on WOC FPs.

Disney has not even announced that WOC FPs will exist. So it is rumor at this point.

las3888 -

I can understand the confusion!

I think it's starting to get a little confusing because there are so many different World of Color-related threads popping up now (started by different people), and a lot of folks don't know where to look first. Ideally, we want them to go first to HydroGuy's World of Color Superthread (that's the first place I go if I want the latest on World of Color!), but sometimes I think people will look at whatever is closest to the top of the page, and they may miss out on vital info in the Superthread.

I must say - I am glad I'm not among the first to try out World of Color in its infancy. I will be more than happy to let it find its legs at DCA, let the initial buzz die down some and let any bugs in the current viewing set-up get ironed out, and let the crowd patterns adjust or adapt to World of Color being a major part of DCA now. I will gladly sit back and read all the reports from dependable DIS-ers and then eventually make my way to see WoC, down the road!!
