I am going to be in Disneyland Sep. 21, 22 and 24th with DH, DS9 and DD7. I haven't been in years, so don't know much about the shows. When are the nightly parades down main street? Should we bother with WOC and Fantasmic? What exactly is Fantasmic? Are there any other shows/parades we should plan on seeing?
I'm sure these questions are repetitive, so sorry for that.
Thanks:)

The parade will be Soundsational. New parade that opened last year for Disneyland and has had good reviews.

Fantasmic! is a show set on the Rivers of America where you sit around the water area on concrete (no seats) and watch a story play out like Fantasia sort of. Includes fireworks, lasers, a dragon, Mickey, two of the ships that cruise around the water and many performers on those boats. One scene is a Peter Pan sequence and the other is the finale with a ton of characters on it. It is not to be missed!

WOC - think bellagio fountain but all Disney again with fireworks and pyro. Some love it some hate it. I think its good. Again not to be missed.

Fireworks - Right now it is Remember Dreams Come True which is the best fireworks show period that Disney puts on. In the summer it will be Magical which is good. Tinkerbell flies around the castle not just zip lining like in WDW and Dumbo flies around the castle but only in Magical. Fireworks are so much better in Disneyland than in WDW.

Other shows not to miss include:
Aladdin stage show (BROADWAY CALIBER) and the very best show Disney puts on. Destroys Beauty and the beast at Hollywood studios in WDW and Finding Nemo at Animal Kingdom. See it Twice!

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe is a country/rock/bluegrass band that is very talented and very funny. Not to be missed! You can eat inside. They serve chicken fingers, ice cream, cake, and other stuff. Get there early.

There are other smaller shows depending on the time of the year.

Hope this helps.
