I'm booking our dining package... please tell me which one is better... what you preferred and what you had.

thanks!

I did the picnic. I loved it, as to why? Well the boyfriend picked it, but it was a good idea because it saved us time for more rides, we could eat the picnic whenever we wanted(well after he picked them up) and where ever we wanted. I had the mediteranian vegetarian-very good, he had the antipasto—he liked his meal too. It was so worth the $14 each!!

ALSO u might want to take a look at this

We've done Ariel's twice & will do it again whenever we go back!! It is a wonderful meal & the preferred dining section to watch the WoC is worth every penny.

We were dead center for the show on the railing with no one in front of us (the only people in front of us were the people in the wet zone, a tier down)

We did the picnic as well & while the food in the picnic was so-so, the viewing area wasn't near as good.....but still a good view.

Our view was on the railing but far to the left of center......I much prefer the other view.....especially if it's your first time!

Here's a link to my recent pics from Ariel's Grotto (March 4):

Thanks for the links!!! I'll go have a look now! :goodvibes

My family did the picnic. The food was good, not great. Our viewing area was fantastic. I can't remember the color, but we were just to the right of center, one tier above the wet zone. I want to try Ariel's, but my boys think it is going to be too girlie.

Nothing girlie about it for dinners.....not a princess in sight!!

The decor is "under the sea" but nothing I would consider girl like.....My older sons (25, 24, 21) love going there.

umm there is no characters at the ariel WOC dinner....

We did the picnics last year and DH did the WCT dinner (had a last minute add-on person and needed one more ticket after the picnics sold out). He got a much better viewing area (dead center), and a delicious dinner, but it would have been too expensive for all of us ... next time we'll probably just use the GC entrance to get the early FP's (didn't know about that before we went last time, and probably wouldn't have wanted to wake up anyhow), and eat at WCT on the not prix-fixe menu bc DH said it was wonderful but too much food (we usually share meals).

That being said, the picnics were tasty (I enjoyed the tiramisu [European plate], and the kid's meal was very decent for both kids and adults. My friends had the European and the Asian ones and we all kinda shared and thought they were all decent but not spectacular.) We ended up in the Splash Zone with the FPs from the picnic but a bit off to the side, and DS on our shoulders loved it (probably could have gotten better positions if we had lined up like other people, but I have a touch of crowd-phobia with lines like that). If you're not staying on property its a viable option to not have to wait hours for a WOC fastpass - to me not standing in that line was worth at least $10/head, so I came out ahead with a meal and some cokes for $3! So if you feel like dropping an extra $25/head, go for Wine Country Trattoria, but I don't think it would be worth it for us to do .

I won't get the Ariel's dinner because I'm not a seafood fan, so no opinions there ... looks like a beautiful setting to dine in though!

Just an FYI...there are six entrees available for Ariels WOC...three of which are non-seafood choices....

Mafalde Pasta with Italian Sausage
Curly ribbons of pasta tossed in a Piemonte-style ragu with spicy Italian sausage, sauteed bell peppers and sweet onions.

Herb-Crusted Chicken Breast
Served with Cheddar-herb mashed potatoes and medley of seasonal vegetables.

Spinach and Ricotta Agnolotti
Topped with fresh spinach, sun dried tomatoes, julienne onions, and asparagus served in a light mushroom broth.
