Our family group of 10 is staying at DLH in a 3 bedroom suite.
We're staying Aug 15th - 19th.
Ages 7 - 65 .....we're sooo excited !
This is the first time stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel for 8 of our family members.

We have booked the Frozen Pre-show and PTN Aladdin's Oasis.

I'm trying to decide which added splurge to do for our family group :
WOC Dessert Party or Club Level DLH

Staying at the DLH is a splurge in its self.

I've booked the WOC Dessert Party, but am having second thoughts as to switching instead to the CL at the DLH.

WOC DP $790
CL DLH $900+

Any thoughts / input if you've done either and which would you chose........

What would you get more use out of? Would you really use the lounge at the hotel or do you predict you'll be in the parks all day? Value wise, I'd think the lounge is better for 10 people, but personally I would love to do the dessert party someday.

Do you think anyone (mostly you) would be stuck having to hang out at the hotel to care for either tired children or older adults? The lounge would come in very handy if that is the case.

I'm actually very surprised that you don't get concierge automatically with the suite. I've imagined the suites to be over $1,000 per night, but I've never looked into them.

Thanks for your input. The suite is $1,200 a night, plus tax (yikes !) but then I just got a 25% discount. So, that helps a bit. I did the "Happy Dance" over the discount. Definitely a splurge and probably once in a lifetime experience. We wanted to stay at the DLH and it was actually a bit cheaper (this time of year) to do the suite instead of 3 seperate rooms. For Club Level to be added its $225 per day for our group, so $22.50 per person per day. When it breaks down to that it sounds more affordable. I've heard its a bit of a walk to CL if your room is not in the Adventure Tower. Which I've requested, but of course no guarantee.

Afternoon breaks in the mid-August heat definitely sound like a good possibility, specially since the plan is to do EMH.

I'm hoping if we do the CL we can get snacks "to go". I don't know if its allowed to take snacks with you when you leave.
Day of check out / CL ends at 11am and we don't depart until 6pm for the airport.

We always add the Club Level to our suites. It's kind of a "no brainer" for us but because we use the amenities. We don't buy soda's anywhere in the park or at any of our meals we just know if we want one we can go get one at the lounge. We also take advantage of the breakfast and afternoon snacks. We aren't drinkers but wine and beer are also offered at night. If you are coffee drinkers you can also get that first thing in the morning before you head for the park. We prefer our caffeine cold so we take sodas lol :) I have always more than justified the per person amount because we are a large party also so when you break it down per person the cost is minimal. You for sure can take snacks with you as well as a drink or two and your suite will have a nice table with chairs (some have bars also) that you can sit around and eat.

You are correct it is a bit of a hassle if you are not in Adventure Tower. We did that one time and it was by far my least favorite trip but all in all I would still do it.

I would suggest that if you are wanting to add that to your stay you call ahead and make sure it is available. You're stay sounds so fun you will have a great time.

I actually find the 3 bedroom suite big -- even for a party of 10 but it will give you 3 1/2 bathrooms which will be wonderful!

Thank you for your input ! I'm going to go book it right now ! ! !
Being able to take snacks with you sounds like a big plus.

Looking forward to the splurge and the Magic of Disney !

Oh, NO ! ! !
They couldn't add Club Level to our reservation, boo hoo......

They said I could ask when we get there and see if there's availability.
Ugh, I'll be biting my nails til then. I hate not knowing til we arrive whether it will be added or not.

Learning along the way............

Deep breath, deep breath...........
