WoC Dessert Party - bit of critisicm

Does anyone have any pictures of the seating? I am curious to see what the chairs look like since I'm a larger person. Thanks.

you will see a photo that shows the director's chairs. I am a larger woman, as well, and was quite comfortable in the chairs.

I seriously do not understand the lining up early for this and the meal packages. That is the whole point of doing them really - so that you don't have to waste valuable park time waiting in line. We've done them regularly over the past few years and we never show up before the line up time. In fact we usually show up after and have always got good seats. The only exception has been for the Blue Bayou seating for PTN - they just did not have sufficient space allocated for that. Anyway, we had a great experience at the WOC dessert party, but that was back in April and it was not full at all. I'm sure it's gotten more popular. I would definitely do a high top table if at all possible.

so what happened at the PTN event if they ran out of space?

I would pay for a PTN special dinner, but if they keep the viewing area on the back of the hub by the train station, I think I might pass. I really want something with a view of Main Street.

I was there Thursday too! I saw that interaction when the person got up to complain about the kid. I was the table directly behind it so I presume right behind you too!!

LOL. We must have been sitting right next to each other. I was at a low table with my mom and 2 30ish guys from Australia!

Sorry, OP, that your experience wasn't very magical. Agree with others that you should contact Disney.

It was a totally opposite experience for us. We showed up about 20 minutes early. There was a line, but it moved quickly. We were given a choice of high or low table. Even with little kids and a senior, the host recommended high tables and we accepted. We were given 2 tables next to the bar, behind other high tables. We folded the wheelchair and parked it in an empty area next to the fence behind us close to the bar. One server yelled, "You can't put that wheelchair there, it's going to get in our way!" (It wasn't sticking out or blocking anyone and there was still plenty of room to get by.) We told her to talk to the host, because the host assigned the table to us. We didn't hear from her again. The CM that served us was great - she helped us take pictures, provided multiple drinks and bottled waters to take with us, and even gave the non-paying kiddies their own high chairs and color-changing mugs. The desserts were not very appealing to most of us, but we loved the show and being able to sit at the end of a long day! Fine view for all, including the kiddies. We saw some kids on parents shoulders in the standing area in front of us, but this did not distract from our view. Everyone rated it a 10/10.

so what happened at the PTN event if they ran out of space?

They would have to find space for you or offer some sort of refund or accommodation. When we did it there was enough space for everyone but it was tight. This was when the viewing area was still located on Main Street. I think the space issue was why they moved it to the train station area. If you pay for the dining package they have to make sure you have a spot in the viewing area.

Our group of 7 thoroughly enjoyed it back in May. We did not show up early and got in a quick moving line. We got 2 tables side by side and had plenty of time to enjoy our food and drinks. We sat at the high tables in the back row and had a great view (adults and kids). Our only complaint was that the kids didn't like most of the desserts. But we figured we were paying for the premium seating and those amazing light up cups. We all agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip and would recommend it.
