Geez. I thought I'd read previously that there was a separate line for each show, but it doesn't sound like that was the case. If you had it to do over, what time would you get in line?

They do have separate lines, but they do the first show line first. If you are wanting to pick your table for the second show, you really need to be there by 7:15 to get a good choice of tables. After we checked in, we were told to return by 9:40 to line up again and to be escorted to your table. We got there at 9:20 and the line was long, and we were in the 3rd group to be escorted to our table. I just feel this whole process was unorganized and took way too long for the money we pay, but the experience was nice.

Yes go early to request a table. We were second in line to request for the second show. (8:30 pm checked in)

You mean 8:30 was the time you got checked in? What time did you line up for check in? Did you get your table assignment and wristband then? And then what time and where did you go to be seated?

I’m asking because I did the second show in early June, and ended up more confused than anything. I had to check in at 8:15 for the 10:15 show- the line for being lead over at 9:40, an hour and a half later, was already forming! I went and rode Ariel instead, and used the restroom, and wandered back not long after- and the line was HUGE already. At 9:45 we stood up, but it took ages to get up into a group to be lead over there. By the time I got there it was pretty late and the server was pretty frazzled and ignored me for a bit while she took the orders of the couple already sitting at the table. She plopped a plate in front of me without asking, which was when I was able to tell her I had a gluten free plate reserved, so she had to scramble to get that switched. All in all, it seems like a much rawer deal to wait so long for the second show.

I need to make reservations 2 weeks from today for my October trip. I was convinced that I would do second show, but ya'll are making me rethink that, sounds pretty crazy.

After watching the second show experience from the first show line, I would recommend the first show. Seems like you will spend less time waiting in line.

Unless they have changed it very recently, they give just a plate of fruit if you ask for special dietary needs (gluten free, dairy free, etc.).

We did the dessert party on Thurs, first show. We got in line about 740. There were about 40 people already in line. We were about back where the Grizzly River run boats go up the belt. It was annoying clanking waiting. About 7:50, they started coming down the line with an iPad to assign tables, asking names, and low table or high. We chose high table, we were just one row behind the low tables in front row. They gave us our wristbands. At 8 pm, they took groups of 30 down to seating area. We were in second group. Once in the area, the seaters handed out menu, and our waiter came by shortly and took drink orders. They brought our desserts out quickly, then our drinks. The kids loved their sippers with Shirley Temples and I enjoyed my adult beverage. Waters all around. We had 5 people around our table, it was a little crowded with all the drinks and plates. We we able to all sit around the table to eat, then move the chairs around a little to watch the show. The waiter station was behind our table, so no one was behind us
They also came around just before show time offering hot chocolate.

When we went, we got an e-mail beforehand asking to list special requests. I would not wait until you’re seated because the plates are already made and they may not have special ones available.

Is there a way to guarantee you aren’t seated with other people? Does high of low table make a difference? There are 3 of us and really would like a private table like they do at WDW dessert parties.

When I was there in June, it was fruit, cheese, and a gluten free brownie type cake with a white chocolate medallion on top. I found myself wishing I had some gf crackers for the cheese.
