WOC Confusion...DCA closes at 8pm, but WOC listed at 8:15?

Maybe I've missed something. I'm trying to schedule our trip (10/11-10/15). According to the disneyland.com website, WOC is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at 8:15 even though it says the park closes at 8pm.

Anyone have any info on this? Also, I'm planning on trying to see WOC on Friday because DL will be closed for the MHP. Should I chance trying to get a FP for it or lock it in with a picnic dinner?

Yep, back in January it was the same way. DCA closed at 8 with WOC at 8:15. People with WOC FP are allowed to stay to watch it. That's how I first saw WOC.
Never done the picnic, but it will save you the hassle of trying to get a FP. But actually, recently FP for WOC don't run out as fast as they used to.

Like JH87 said, that's normal--you line up well before 8 PM anyway. In fact, you probably wouldn't get a good viewing spot if you weren't in line for the show at least 30 minutes before start time.

It sounds like people have been having no trouble getting FPs for WoC lately, though you'll be going at a kind of brisk time. I haven't looked; are there 2 shows on Friday anyway? If so, it sounds like often the second show doesn't even "sell out" (as in they still have FPs left for that show all day). If you get to the machine at or near DCA park opening the day you want to see the show, I imagine you'll get blue (or at worst, yellow) FPs for the first show.
