WLV........suggestions???

We have booked our 1st trip to the VWL from 4/20-27 (previous stays at BCV and our home, SSR). On our past trips to WDW, in early December, we ALWAYS stopped by the WL to take in that friendly, warm, casual atmosphere there...... NOW we want to experience it for an entire week! We have a studio booked and were wondering if anyone had a particular, view, floor, location that they favor? I have requested: an upper floor, lakeview, non-smoking room.

Also, any suggestions from veteran VWL folks as to what could make our stay even more special? Thanks alot.......

You have requested exactly what we request and we've been fortunate enough to get this four times. Most of the lake view rooms will have a vew of the lake peeking through the trees, but some overlook the pool and the lake is beyond. Most of the 5th floor rooms have a closed in balcony because it's under the eaves, but that makes it private.

Just take time to relax. I get coffee/breakfast at Roaring Forks and always sit outside by the pool in the morning to read the paper (when not off to the parks). The ducks are out, as well as the hungry birds, but it's very nice. Try the rocking chairs in the Spike Room at the Villas. We almost fall asleep in them! If the weather is cool or rainy and you're not going out, explore the Lodge. There's a couple of areas off the lobby on different floors that have a fireplace and a few chairs/sofa to curl up and read. There's also a big balcony off 4th or 5th floor that you can sit and look out on the lake.
The watersprites are so much fun and go faster than the little boats on the other smaller lakes! (Or rent one of the bigger boats) and explore all over the lake ........ to MK, the Poly and GF. I love to ride the boats to the MK or Contemporary, especially when the weather is nice.

Artists Point is a very nice, relaxing restaurant that doesn't seem to be as busy as others. Hope you have a spectacular trip! It's our home resort, but we're doing OKW this spring, which we also love. VWL in December is very special, as you've seen.

Tanx sooooo much for this detailed report ! The one thing I will add, is to enjoy a "beverage of our choice", while relaxing in the lounge next to Artist Point. Last December, our entire family (10 of us), after seeing Hoop-De-Do, stopped by WL and took in all the holiday splendor....including the lounge!
