DH and I will be making our first trip to our home resort (WLV) in a few weeks. We have reserved a Studio, and I put in a request to be on the pool side of the resort (rather than the bus side).

Can anyone recommend a specific studio (room number)? Should I ask to be close to the pool, or does it get noisy?

I know you stated a pool view but in my family's opinion, the best rooms are lagoon view so you can see the 7 Seas Electrical parade from your balcony. Just get a room higher than the thrid floor. A great room would be 472 or 572. We watched the parade every night. We were there on 9/11 and it was really emotional when they had the flag lit up at the end. It is still the one thing my daugher remembers the most. It was also very quiet and very close to the pool. Just down the stairs and out the door.

Ditto. Don't have room number but we were there during Thanksgiving and request top floor with Bay view. Excellent and quite.

I was under the impression that you could not see the lagoon because of the trees. I would love to watch the Electrical Parade from our balcony! I will definitely request a room on a higher floor. Could you see the pool from 472/572 as well? I thought it would be convenient to see if the pool was too crowded (or more importantly, the spa!). The quiet pool seems small, so I'm not sure how quickly it fills up.

We had no problem with the view. Some of the rooms farther down the hall may have but it sure didn't seem like it from the number of people who ventured out each night on the balconies. Make sure you don't get a 3rd floor room because those balconies are solid cement and you have to stand to see anything.

We could not see the pool but since we were only 2 rooms from the stairs that led to the pool, it took about 1 minute to go down to see how crowded it was. You can also use the Wildnerness Lodge Villas pool which is kinda hidden but is often less crowded as a result. You can't see that one either but the tradeoff is fewer people.

jlambrig...

Were you staying at the Lodge, or in the Villas?

Ah...I think that's where the confusion is. We're staying in the Villas, not the Lodge.

We have reserved a Studio, and I have requested a room on the pool-side of the villas. I believe the other side faces the bus depot, and even though there is a tree buffer, I'm concerned that there would be noise.

Has anyone stayed on the pool-side of the Villas? Can you see the lake from the upper floors? Any room recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)
