WL with DDP or POFQ with DxDP

DxDP is also good if you plan to go to a lot of signature meals and shows.
If money is not a consideration, then why not do the deluxe and WL??

I disagree with most of the posters here too. You said your husband specifically wants a taste of WDW so why would you upgrade your resort? If you want to spend time at the Wilderness Lodge I would eat at Artist's Point (2TS credits). On the day you visit the MK you could eat at California Grill (2TS credits) at the top of the Contemporary. On your AK visit day you can go over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and eat at Jiko (2TS credits). I have heard good things but have never been to the Brown Derby in MGM (also 2 TS credits).

IF you add in all those restaurants plus sit down breakfasts you will no doubt get your value out of the deluxe dining plan and you won't be eating constantly. You will have 1 signature meal almost every day of your stay and one table service breakfast.

POFQ was very quiet and quaint. You can also take a nice boat ride to Downtown Disney which will give you even more dining options!

Good luck whatever you decide.

I think it depends if you are a 'foodie' or not. We aren't - give me a buffet with some prime rib and potatoes, fill me up, and show me the door - I don't want to spend hours at WDW doing speciality dining. That is just ME. But if you are the type who enjoys a really long and good meal with a more unique menu, then the 2 point restaurants are for you.
I enjoy a meal like that when not at WDW, but its not for me when I am there. It depends on your personality when it comes to dining.
