I'm planning an after-cruise 2 night stay at WL for NYE and NYD 2005/06. I'm going to make 2 separate ressies because Dec. 31 is holiday rate, and Jan. 1 is value rate.

My question is this: which view is the one that overlooks the inside of the lodge? I like the idea of opening our room door and having the lobby right there below us. It just adds to the excitement, I would think. I don't really care what the outside view is.

Can anyone help?
Thank you!

There are standard views and Courtyard views that opwn to the lobby...

I prefer the "Bear's Face" rooms...they open to the lobby and have a great view of the pool/bay lake

If you wanted the standard..I would ask for rooms right above the Guest Services desk so that you don't hear the noise from the loading area on the north side of the building!

ENJOY!

I believe the lobby rooms are standard, woodsview and that courtyard lobby views are located at the top of the lobby.
Enjoy your trip! I love the WL!

Disneydmbnut- We are staying at the WL and I want a quiet room with a good view. We will book either courtyard or woods view. Any suggestions?

Tara - What view do you want...I was in Room 4067 in February ..It was located on the 4th floor just behind the fireplace...GREAT ROOM!!! The fireplace blocked all the lobby noise and it was super close to the elevators. If you look in the picture, down at the bottom right corner..you see the room we stayed in in May. Room 2113 was located just off the Merchentile near the doors that head to the busses. Very quiet and because it was located on the same floor as the lobby, never needed to use the elevators. There is a backdoor that took us across the creek to Roaring Forks and the boat ramp...Great room. ( This room has bunk beds )

I don't have a picture of Room 5014 but it faces the MK and you can see a bit of the castle when the trees are not too bushy. It is a woods view and you can see the otter pond.

Those are the best rooms I have stayed in..I have been in others, but they weren't much to speak of. It was before I was a DIS'r and knew what to ask for!

Good Luck!

Here is Fred's Balcony View Pictures

Remember that anything on the 7th is conceirge(sic) and that you could get the same room / view on different floors...like 5067 is the same as my picture, just maybe a little less trees in the way!

Hey those pictures are great. We do want a room with bunk beds. What view was 2113? I saw the picture. Is it Courtyard? Have you ever requested a certain room #. We will be there in early Feb. 05. We are so excited to stay in a WDW resort as it is our first time as a family. My son will flip over the little waterfalls abnd the gueyser. That you for your help. I also like the DMB and my newset love is Maroon 5.

Tara - I have request room #'s and they try to give me as close as they can to that room. I asked for 5067 in February and they only had 4067...so that was ok with me...same view.

I will be going the first week in February and staying at the Lodge too.. and 2113 is a Courtyard view..I had asked for a bunkbed room Center courtyard and it was the only one available and I loved it!

What kind of room will you be requesting your next visit? I don't want to steal your room.
