WL upgrades

I know they have junior suites and those immense rooms on the 6th and 7th floor. I'm sure they'd be willing to upgrade you.
If you are referring to the view, I have hear of them doing it if you ask nicely and they are not fully booked. I also got upgraded on my honeymoon because our room wasn't what I asked for. We went from a woods view to a pool view.

DH and I were celebrating our anniversary on our last trip to WL (in May). We requested in our reservation an upgrade if at all possible (to jr suite or anything - we were already booked for courtyard view).

When we got there, as usual, we got exactly what we paid for - courtyard view.

I think people get upgraded here and there, just never seems to happen to me. I think it doesn't happen very often in general, but my motto is it doesn't hurt to ask.

Good luck!

Last December, we got a free upgrade from a standard view to a courtyard view, just by asking at check in. However, this was early December and they were not anywhere close to full at the time.

:bounce: During my recent stay at WL in july I was upgraded to a courtyard view at check in without asking for an upgrade. This was a nice surpirse.

according to friends that work at Disney resorts, upper management has issued some new guidelines for giving upgrades.

Basically so many people have begun to ask for upgrades that they have been over run with requests. I am sure years ago before the invent of Internet forums only frequent travelers would even have thought to ask for an upgrade or fax room requests in.

So if you have your heart set on a view, best book it. I don't think upgrades will be as plentiful as before. Kinda like sharing the favorite fishing hole only to find there are no fish left.

I think if you're going to be there during the time that the CBR is going to be closed, and you booked W/L at a higher rate you might have a good chance. Folks from CBR are being given fantastic discounts to W/L and they may decide that the people that bookd W/L first with higher rates deserve an upgrade.

That may have happened to us last year. We booked W/L Standard at 149 a night (not really a good rate). POFQ closd and lots of people came into W/L at 99 a night. We found ourselves in Woods view room. Don't really know if it was just luck or some attempt to do better to those that didn't get the great deals.

This year we've booked courtyard. I think it's full to the rafters during Vets weekend.
