I'm staying at the WL & I made a reservation for an 8:05 breakfast at the MK when the park opens at 9:00. The CM on the phone asked if we had a car, because that early in the morning...we would have to drive. I thought for sure there was a bus. Has that changed? EVEN SO though...we were really hoping to use the boat...anyone know when that starts running?

Thanks in advance. Any help would be appreciated!

Oh, that's an easy one!

Take the small boat to CR at 7am (they start running the CR/WL/FW boat at 7 am). Either walk to MK or take the monorail.
When you get to MK, stay to the far left. They have a special "gate" of PS's. They never asked for our number, but I'd take it just to make sure!

We did this in Sept. I allowed an hour, it took us abt 40 minutes from WL dock to Cindy's castle.

*bangs head on desk* I really wish the call centers would smarten up... Driving from WL to the MK would actually be such a pain in the posterior, and would take you SO far out of your way.

Buses to the TTC start running around 7:00am. It's a 3 minute ride. Let the driver know that you are going to the Magic Kingdom for breakfast. If the driver has enough time, he or she will usually take you directly over to the MK. However, that particular bus is on a fixed time table, so that might not always be possible.

If the driver is unable... at the TTC, board the Resort Monorail (the MK Express will not be operational at that hour). The Resort Monorail will take you to the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and then finally the Magic Kingdom. Travel time for that will be about 10 minutes, give or take.

During the summer, the Contemporary launch was starting operation prior to 7:00am as a test. Not sure if that is still the case. If it is, then you may board that boat to the CR, and then either walk or take the Monorail to the MK.

I would opt for the bus to TTC and then catch the resort monorail as was mentioned above.

When we were there in October, that is what the CM at the WL advised us when I inquired about how to get to the MK for a before park opening breakfast.

It worked like a charm- quick bus ride, nobody at the TTC and a delightful monorail ride to the MK.

Have fun!

*banging my head too* Too funny. What in the world would I do without these boards? THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! Have a great day all!

oh no wait....one more if you don't mind....will we be able to take the boat straight to the MK from the WL on Early Entry day at MK (early entry would be 8:00 that day.)?

I believe the boats should start running around 7:30am for EE at the MK.

Yup- as Tyler mentioned- they should start running around 7:30.

As my October trip was the first time in 20 years, I had tons of questions and didn't want to miss a thing. I got into the habit of stopping by the front desk on my way to my room at the end of the night to confirm any transportation questions for the next day. They were very helpful and there is a CM for just 'Guest Services' until around 8 pm- after that, I had to wait in the check in line for my answers.

The WL boats starts at 7:15 a.m. on an EE day--at least it did when we were there the last two times we stayed there.
