Hi!
We would love to go to EPCOT after checking in when we arrive at WL. How easy should it be to get transportation?
Thanks!

Well...walk down to the lobby, and out the door. Down the walkway to the buses, get on the Epcot bus. Or, take the boat over to the MK, then the express monorail to TTC and transfer to the Epcot line.
In other words, very easy. You shouldn't have any issues.

Thanks! I wasn't sure about how it would be in the middle of the day!

If this were you, you were taking 2 adults, 2 schoolaged kids and a toddler for the first time, would you take the bus or the boat/monorail upon arrival?

If you have time, the boat/monorail/monorail route would be the nicer of the two but take maybe a little over an hour.

While the bus would a third of the time.

One thing about the first route would be, you may confuse your children because they may think you are going to the MK.

I would just take the bus. The other route requires two transfers and additional walking.

OK, I am a bus driver, but I have to admit: the boats and the Monorail are more magical.

If you are not in a hurry to get to Epcot, I say take the boat and Monorail route.

First of all, the walk from the Lodge to the boat dock is very nice; you'll get to preview the pool and experience some of the "wilderness". The boat ride to MK is scenic and serene. And the Monorail to Epcot circles Future World before going to the station, giving a nice aerial tour.

I think that would be a great way to ease into the magic.

I think you could also take the boat to the Contemporary, get on the resort monorail there and then the monorail to the TTC. But that is even more confusing, because you had to navigate through the Contemporary Resort.

I love arriving at Epcot by monorail, you even get a brief overview of Futureworld because the monorail goes through it before it stops. So it is definitely more magical than the bus! But it will take longer and is a bit cumbersome
