We're thinking of staying at WL in April. Can you get a standard view room which has a view of wishes? I have read that some woods view rooms have views of wishes. Any advice would be appreciated. :wizard:

I think only the wllds view rooms floors 4 and up can see Wishes, and they are not standard rooms. We booked a standard room in October 2003 and our agent asked for a woods view room if one was available, and we got it for no charge. We were on the 5th floor. It was awesome, especially since we had little children with us who were asleep for the fireworks. My DH and I watched them from our window and sometimes the kids did too before they went to bed.

Try to get it if you can - it is worth it!

What about Courtyard View? We booked that in hopes of seeing the fireworks, etc.

Hi,
We just returned from a WDW stay at the WL. Our woodsview room (5012) had a set of bunks and a queen bed, and we had a wonderful view of the MK Castle and Wishes from our balcony. I think all even numbered rooms from 5004-5034 and 6004-6034 have similar views (although I'm not sure of the exact numbers...).

Good luck! :flower:

Sorry while the Courtyard View is my favorite, unless your are on the South Wing 5th or 6th floor you won't be able to see any fireworks, if you have a room on the higher floors you'll only be able to see the tops of some of the higher fireworks from MK.

Thanks for the info. Also did your room have a balcony?

 Hi all the rooms at Wilderness Lodge have balconys or patio's if you are staying in a ground floor room.

Had a woods view at WL one trip, at least I guess it is considered a woods view that overlooked the pond on the Magic Kingdom side of WL. One added dividend of this location was sitting on the balcony watching otters swim in the pond and then every once in awhile see the monorail through the trees.

I feel stupid that as often as we've stayed there I've never seen these otters. I'll look carefully this trip! I've walked all around outside....especially near the waterfalls and all.....where are those little critters??
