I would greatly appreciate any response from WL regulars to the following:

1) Do all of the Standard View rooms face the front parking lot and service areas of WL?

2) Which Standard View rooms do not have balconies?

3) Which Standard View rooms have the best view?

4) Are all Standard View rooms located on the exterior?

5) Do all Standard View rooms entrances face the lobby?

6) Are any Standard View rooms located on lower floors?

6) Are Standard View rooms unappealing enough to justify upgrading to a Woods View?

There are different standard rooms. If you do a search for the WL thread perhaps there is an answer for this. I think its too hard to try to answer your question as you never are sure what kind of standard room you will get until you get there. Sorry I could not be more help.

We love WL and have gone for the past 9 years.

Standard room views do vary greatly. We have found that the higher floors do offer better views. One of our favorite spots for standard view was the 6th floor overlooking WLV. It still has a beautiful view overlooking the Villas and trees.
If you can afford to, upgrade when you arrive at the hotel to a courtyard view. Once we arrive we often upgrade to to courtyard view or to the concierge level, which is well worth the splurge!!!

1.) No
2.)All rooms at Wilderness Lodge have a balcony or patio.
3.)The ones on the higher floors facing the MK. (they do over look the service area) but if you are on a higher floor your view is of the woods and the CR unless you look over and straight down.
4) Not sure what you mean all rooms at Wilerness Lodge open to an interior hall. (deluxe resort)
5.) No
6.) If you mean the ground floor I don't beleive so.
7.) No I would stay in any room at Wilderness Lodge and book Standard View when ever available. That said I have yet to ever stay in a Standard View. (upgraded)
