Ok, I know that if I can find this anywhere it will be here. I am looking for a map that shows the Layout of the Wilderness Lodge and that shows what room #s are where. I have seen these for several resorts, just not the WL.

Thanks, Wendi

I haven't seen any type of map for the lodge. When we stayed there, I did have a list of room number ranges, but when looking for it, I realized I had it saved on my old computer. Hopefully someone can help you out!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just remember that the floor number comes first when looking at the map and that all floors do not have all the same room #'s.

So when looking at the map, for example, when it says 075 that you would need to add the floor # ahead of that 4075, 5075 etc.

Some other tidbits of info. The first floor starts at room 1031 (on the Roaring Fork side) and 1130 (on the Villas Side), The 2nd and 3rd floor do not have lobby rooms, they start at 2066/3066 (Roaring Fork Side) and 2100 and 3100 (Villas Side). The 6th floor also does not have all the lobby rooms that face out to the courtyard (I don't remember how many it has, but it is not 7 like floors 4 and 5) the 6th floor balconies are also Dormer Style (they have a solid bottom instead of the slats so when you are sitting you can't see out) from room 6034 and lower and 6130 and higher (because the 7th floor does not go that far) The 7th floor is concierge, it has no regular lobby rooms (except the Honeymoon Suites), also the 7th floor does not have the last wing on either side and all balconies on 7 are dormer style.

The map is also missing some Junior Suites (Deluxe Rooms)... If memory serves they are (X)123 (I know this is one for sure) and (X)129 (not sure if that was one). The Deluxe rooms are on floors 1-6 (concierge does not have any as the Pres and Vice Pres are in those locations).

That is all I can think of off the top of my head (it has been awhile since I worked there) but I hope that helps you out a little bit...

What request would you recommend for the best courtyard view? I would like to avoid a view of the villas.

The unoffical guide to Walt Disney recommends rooms 6604-6030 on the 6th floor for the best view of MK fireworks.

I had a woods view room when I was there in 2003. I believe it was 5013. There is a link below with pictures of the room and views. It had amazing views of the castle and the monorail.

Is the woods view the best area to see the castle? Can you see fireworks, from woods view?

We will be arriving at WL next Friday :jumping1: :dancer: :cheer2: I can't tell you how excited my family and I are. I had seen that link a few months back and could not open it then either...I suppose I will just have to wait and see where our rooms will be located.

aubeone: You would want to request inner courtyard.

: The woods view (and a handful of standards) are the options you would have to face MK. However it all depends on the time of year whether you can see the park and/or fireworks. There are trees in that area that can block the view depending on how full they are. If you look at the map (if you can get it to load...I was able to) it would be standard rooms (x)066-(x)042 and woods view (x)034 and (x)004. The higher the floor the better the chance, just keep in mind the standard rooms are over the loading dock area and can be kind of noisy with trucks coming in and out.

It might be your web browser. I use Firefox and it wouldn't open. Switched over to Internet Explorer and it opened right away.....

I just stayed in room 5004 and have a couple pictures of the view from the balcony in my album http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/salmoneousphotos/album?.dir=/6859&.src=ph . I think these are pretty typical of what you are going to see from the rooms you mention. Lots of woods, with maybe a *hint* of the rest of The World through the trees. If you look closely in "View 1" you can see the Contemporary. I suspect you would see some fireworks over the tops of the trees.

For what it's worth, I booked Standard and made no requests before I arrived. When I checked in, I asked (nicely) for a room on a high floor with the best view he could give me. The guy searched and searched and this is where he booked me. I loved it! But it's really a nature view, not a view of Disney.

What standard view rooms are the farthest from the loading docks? Would it be the x042 or the x066?

The map also references some standard view rooms on floor 4 on the opposite side of the MK. Are these rooms any better?

The rooms on the Roaring Fork side (x042-x066) are the entire length of the loading dock. There really is not one better than the other on that side. I would say if you ask for the 6th floor you would be better off in this area. You still have the open balcony (as the 7th floor is above in this section). When you are sitting on the balcony you won't really be able to see the loading dock, unless you look out and down.

The rooms on the 4th floor that are standard are above the front desk. The reason that these are standard view rooms is because of the way the roof peaks. You would be looking out towards the villas but your view for the most part is roof top and peaks. It would just depend on what your preference would be as to which is "better".

Looks like it... 5032 and 5034 boast the best views of MK (minus the Honeymoon Suites and the standard views of concierge...as they are higher than most of the trees on the 7th floor) pretty much year round, but...as we all know to request a specifc room # is basically setting yourself up for disappointment...

Great picture by the way...
