WL Request questions

Hi all,

Arriving 3/25 thru 4/2 staying at WL. At the time of booking we requested 4th floor inner courtyard view but not sure if we should be more specific. We have never been to WL and other than some links we've seen here are still not sure if thats where we want to be. (Not too familiar with layout with regards to restaurants, boat launch, bus stop, and pool) Want to be centerally located with children. Would we be better asking to be closer to the pool or not change requests at all? Do some of the inner courtyard views overlook the lobby? Thanks for any info.

Unfortunately I haven't stayed at WL so I am unable to answer your questions. But, I'm bumping this back to the first page and I hope someone will be able to answer your questions! Good luck!

I have only stayed at the WL once (going again this October) but location is really not an issue as far as distance from pool, etc. The lodge is not large enough (in my opinion) to have any rooms that are unreasonably far from anything. So, I would concentrate on the view if that is important to you.

This is what is listed as the "best views" in the Unofficial Guide and what I used to base my request for a main courtyard view room on either the 5th or 4th floor:

For direct lakeview choose room numbers:
4000-4003, 4166-4169
5000-5003, 5166-5169


For Main Pool & Lakeview choose odd numbered rooms as follows:
4005-4023, 4147-4165 *(odd numbered rooms only within this range)
5005-5023, 5147-5165 *(odd numbered rooms only within this range)

Just wanted to agree that the resort is not HUUUGE, so you will not be far from anything!

I would request inner courtyard on the 3rd, 4th or 5th floor. 6th floor has solid balconies so you have to stand up to see over them. I like to be able to see the view while inside our room.

We had room 5041 on our most recent trip and it was the best room yet! Inner courtyard view, but also looking staight out onto the lake. Had a great view of the EWP evey night at 9:35!
