Is courtyard view worth $375 more than standard view for our seven day/six night stay in December?? Which view overlooks the lobby? Or does your door just open to the lobby? If so what does your window overlook?

IMHO, and we have stayed at the WL many times, courtyard view is not worth the $375 extra. Spend that money on other things when you're there. Request a lobby room when you reserve/check-in. We had lobby rooms several times and our views from the balcony ranged from the woods/service area where the CM's come to work to a roof to being in the bear's face (with a view of the courtyard).

I wouldn't spend the extra money for it. We had a woodsview and watched the fireworks in the evening and the boats on the lake during the day.

I had room #: 5032, a "woods" view room, on my last trip and had a great view of the castle and Wishes from my room and balcony. I had a courtyard view once, but I doubt I would pay that much more money for it.

I never ask for a courtyard view, because we were never in our room enough to justify the $$$.. Plus its a nice upgrade if they give it to you. -- Plus we have enjoyed the woodsview (which is usually quite) and sometimes the has a view of the castle.

375 more for ther view. think of how you could dpend that "extra" money in the parks. 60-65 dollars a day extra can pay for osme nice extras.

last july we were fortunate to have our room upgraded for free to courtyard and while it was a very nice view i definitly would not have paid extra money for the view. the room we had was almost in the corner so our view really was the other side of the WL but the courtyard itself is just perfect. we really only were out on the balcony for a very short time. as 99.9% of people are when visiting WDW, we are usually on the run so the room view really isnt as important to me as the room itself is.

If you are going in early Dec, you might get upgraded to courtyard view anyway. We have paid for courtyard view in the past. 1) It's a beautful view (make sure it's the inner courtyard), 2) We had younger children that we wanted to keep an eye when they left early for the pool. 3) We have gotten a good code for the stays. Without good codes (we have AAA right now), we wouldn't pay for it.

I tend to agree with all of you, but...DH said to go for it. I guess he gets some say in this vacation. :confused3 I think it is a comfort level, we had CV last time and he enjoyed it.

I must be the only dissenting vote... I say go for the view... I stayed once on woods view concierge and hated it. Next time, I decided to forgo concierge and get the courtyard view instead and was not disappointed. My DH, DD7 and I loved sitting on the balcony watching the waterfall and the lake and the pool and just everything... it was worth it.
