Hi there! I have a few questions about getting around WDW from the WL and I know the good folks on this board will have the skinny. TIA!

Is there a boat that runs directly between the WL and the Boardwalk area?

How early should we be at the boat launch to make rope drop at the MK?

One other question, for anyone that knows: Is the Yachtsman Steakhouse worth doing? We couldn't get ressies at Le Cellier, maybe this would be a good substitute? Since we will have our three year old grandson with us, is the Yachtsman not a good idea?

Any "must see" recommendations for a three year old?

(I know, that was two more questions...sorry. :) )

To answer one of your questions, you cannot take a boat between Wilderness Lodge and the Boardwalk area resorts. You could take the boat from WL to the Magic Kingdom and then take a bus to any of those resorts.

1. The boats from the WL don't go to Boardwalk.
2. Not sure how early to make rope-drop. The thing about the boats is- if you miss one just by seconds, it could be a long time before the next one. My advise is to ask at the resort, and ask the boat Captains.
3. Yachtsman Steakhouse is (in my opinion), one of the best restaurants on property. We always go there and to Le Cellier. Food, service, and atmosphere are all there at Yachtsman.
4. Can't relate to the 3 year old thing... been too long since I was that old and don't have any of my own.
