Hi can someone tell me about the pool at Wl.How many pools do they have? If they only have one isn't it crowded all the time? What about the contemporay pools?

Tracie

WL has just the one pool. I found it to be big enough that I didn't feel crowded. I have two younger kids and at no time did I ever have to worry about them being run over or knocked out of the way.

Let me add that out trip there was last June, so you would think that the summer months would be prime pool time also.

This pool is very cool. You feel like you'e in the moutains with the water falling from the resort down into the pool. It's a large themed pool with large boulders coming down the side. It does get a little crowded but usually not unbearable. There is a baby pool and a hot tub. The geyser is very close by.

We were there last August and it was busy but not too so that we couldn't get seats. It is the only pool for the WL. There is another pool at the WLV but I think it's exclusive for WLV guests, but not sure about the other way around.

Well I'm glad to hear that they aren't real crowded I might book there this August just didn't want it to be over crowded. We stayed at all sports 2 years ago and we had the quiet pool at times to ourselves at times real nice!!!

We stayed at the WL last Dec. Guests are able to use the pool at the Villas also. The main pool has a current where the stream falls into the actual pool. WL has 2 hot tubs and the VWL also has one. We found the area by the Villas to be less crowded. Both were very enjoyable and relaxing. Of course, in early Dec, crowds are low so neither pool was ever crowded.

REALLY! WL guests can use WLV's pool (and that wouldn't be considered pool hopping, sorry just couldn' t resist that one!)--I'd love to go over to that pool and relax. That's great to know!

Just thought I should double check the info I gave re: the Villas pool. So... I pulled out The Silver Creek Star ( WL directory of services) that we received in Dec. To quote the "Star"...

"At the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Guests can also enjoy Hidden Springs pool, a unique "water hole" tucked away from all the hustle and bustle (No lifeguard on duty). Pools are intended for the exclusive use of Disney's Wilderness Lodge guests.

By the way, I looked at the hotel map we received at check-in and the cm circled both of the pools, as available to us.

I was second guessing myself and thought maybe we had been
POOL HOPPING. But no fear, our pool use was legal.

The pool at WL is our families favorite pool of all the Deluxe hotels. It is very big and even in the middle of summer never felt crowded. We like the themeing and relaxing atmosphere. The geyser erupting and the lake & wooded areas surrounding make it a great place to relax.
