WL hands down for me. I like the lodge feel (I'm from Oregon and met my DH at a Nat'l Park 25 years ago this month, so I'm a bit biased there ) and it's an easy boat ride to the MK. The AKL is beautiful--we visit there every trip to eat at Boma and see the animals, but the rooms are dark with big heavy furniture (in reality probably not so different from WL) and transportation was all by bus. If you have a car and don't mind driving that would be less of an issue.

Since it's such a personal decision it's very hard to say which you'd like better. They both have their followers for sure. Can you split your stay between the two resorts? I can't say that I'd never stay at AKL again, but it would have to be because of the price, which is strange since I do like visiting the resort.

I agree with Tigger&Belle! I love to visit the AKL, but I would much rather stay at the WL.

It's nice having the boat service to MK and the other resorts from WL, as well as being able to visit FW to eat at the Trails End and go to the campfire program!
