WL or AKL?

My cousin has reservations at both the WL & AKL & can't decide where she wants to stay.

Any opinions on these resorts would be appreciated & I'll forward them to her.

I went through the same debate last summer and decided on WL. I have to say, I was not at all disappointed w/the decision. We loved WL!! One of the major factors that we took into consideration was that we were traveling w/ 2 6 yr old dd's and would be spending most of our time at MK. That worked out great for us because we just took the boat back and forth. As I'm sure you've read at the other threads the bus transportation isn't as good as the boat. From what I understand AKL is closest to AK and not that close to the rest of the parks. Hope that helps!

I have an idea - split your stay 1/2 and 1/2. Try them both.


If you don't want to do that, I would pick based on how much time I was planning to spend at MK. If the answer is A LOT, then I would choose WL for the sheer convenience alone. I would also consider which theme is the most appealing to me. Both resorts are very well themed. I also would take the rate into consideration. Of course, if they are the same that blows that theory.

WL Woods view room IMHO is better than AKL Standard view room - AKL Savannah view rooms are more expensive than WL so if cost is a driver, WL is often a "better" value

For example May 13-19 out stay

WL Woods View $154
AKL Savannah View $219 - Standard was $139

So I picked WL Woods since the difference was too much for me - prices with code AEF
