Us too. We are leaving in a week. We are going for our longest trip ever..7 nights. And the best part is the kids DD's 10 & 7 and DS 2 1/2 have no idea. They think we are going to my in-laws in Boynton Beach. We will tell them when we get to the gate and they realize it says Orlando not W.Palm Beach.

Just curious. How do you plan on telling your kids?

woo-hooo!!! My boys are 10 & 11. They have no idea. They helped us plan for the trip....thinking it is next summer. We leave in two weeks. This is their first time on an airplane and their first time in Disney. We are waking them up that morning, and telling them their bags are packed, and we're going to Disney World. I can't wait. 14 Days and Counting.......

To surprise kids.....

options:

1) after getting in the car (or at the airport) give them something Disney -
younger kids - Disney themed coloring book w/ crayons
older kids - Birbaum Kids guide to WDW or Disney game (game boy)
If the car has a DVD player - play the WDW DVD from guest services

2) If kids know you are going on a trip -
option 1 - get a Disney themed t-shirt for them to find in the AM when they are getting dressed - or give them a Disney plush to find in the AM next to their bed before leaving
option 2 - if they know they are going to Florida, but not sure why - then you can wait for the t-shirt or plush for the car ride in Florida.

My kids can read and are older. If they see the plane is going to MCO - they know the only place we will end up will be WDW.

I can only surpirse them with tickets to Disney Quest. We have AP tickets- but they do not include DQ. I ordered them from Ticket Mania, and will wrap them in a box for Christmas 2005 to use in June 2006.

Since I do all the planning, I can surprise my DH with which WDW resort we are staying at (depends on where the AP or AAA dicounts are) and eating.
Right now we are WL - but they like the Poly and CR (tower only) too.
DH only demands- Cindy's breakfast, LTT dinner, H&V dinner for Fantasmic and this time horse back riding. DH does not get involved in where we stay or packing clothes.
