After being unexpectedly impressed by our 1st trip to WDW (not to mention WL, where we'll be returning) last May, we're going again Jan. 28 - Feb. 4. My 6 y.o. ds's b'day is actually on Feb. 15, but we wanted to avoid the President's Day crowds and will miss having his b'day at WDW. However, I would like to have some kind of a special surprise for him.
I've been buying small Disney character toys. Is it possible for me to send them to WL ahead of our arrival and ask if they could have them waiting in our room when we check in? I know it sounds like asking alot, but sometimes I get the feeling WDW could work all kinds of magic! Otherwise, I could just pack them and try to have DH stall with DS while I "checked out the room" and arranged them on the bed, etc.
Any opinions?
Thanks very much!

I have heard of people sending items ahead for arrival in their room. However more often than not it takes a few calls to get the items into the room. From the posts I've read they aren't always the best at coordinating gifts that are sent ahead. If you really want to guarantee a surprise I would have your husband and son wait while you inspect the room and place them inside yourself. Maybe you could have them go check out the pool or grab a snack or something from the store. No fuss, no muss :teeth:

I personally don't like relying on others when I want something done a certain way. I say do it yourself. Your son will easily get engrossed in something else allowing for you to set it up the way you want to.
