WL Deluxe Room or 1 bedroom villa?

I'm interested in your opinions on the better place to stay. A deluxe lodge room (formerly Jr. suite) or a 1 bedroom villa.

Also does anyone know if AP rates are ever available on these? I don't think they usually are on the villas but what about the deluxe rooms? This is for next November. I plan on booking now then trying to change over to ap rates if they become available. We'll be staying at WL regardless of ap discount or not but obviously less expensive would be better.

This decision depends on how many people you have. The WL Deluxe can sleep 6 people. The Villa 1BR only sleeps 4. If you have more than that you will need a 2BR. Also, they will charge you 25.00 per adult over 2 for the deluxe room, where as they won't for the 1BR villa. Hope that helps!!!

If you have 4 or less, go for the villa! We recently stayed in a 1-bedroom villa at WL and it was lovely. Whirlpool tub, full kitchen, even a washer/dryer. Much more spacious and luxurious than the WL "junior suites."

Also, over the past two years I've seen code and AP discounts offered for the villas but never for the suites.

If your party will fit into it, here is another vote for the 1 bedroom Villa! The 1 bedroom villas at VWL are spacious and you can't beat having a kitchen and a seperate living room in the unit plus a jacuzzi in the bathroom.

Just watched the Travel Channel show on the WL today, it didn't mention a jacuzzi in the villa. Does it have one for sure?

The 1 and 2 BR villas have jacuzzi, full kitchen, and washer/dryer. The 'studio' rooms have a queen bed, pull out couch, regular bathrom, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot, and no washer/dryer.

Another vore for the villas. The villas are wonderful, the jacuzzi is heavenly after a day at the parks. Having a full kitchen is another plus.

The villa's are technically part of the Disney Vacation Club. All One bedroom and larger DVC units have a jacuzzi in the master bath..

I've looked at the Travel Channel web site (search), and I can't find a show featuring the WL. Is it a special? Is it on Great Hotels? Someone mentioned it here before. I've seen the Great Hotels show with GF, YC & BC, and AKL, but I haven't seen anything on WL. Can you help me?

As previously mentioned, the one bedroom and larger does have a jacuzzi. And as much as I love Samantha Brown (she is so funny) she also said that it had a queen sized bed, when in fact, it was a king sized bed.
