I will be staying at the WL in December. Last time, we had a woods view (upgraded from the standard view-- yay:banana: ). This time, the only available view for our code was courtyard. So - please share your courtyard views and experiences.

Thanks!

Tracie

Best view available at WL in my opinion. I request it everytime!

We were upgraded in April from standard view to courtyard view. I loved it!! I'm at work right now, so I can't attach a picture here, but you can follow the link below to my trip report to see pictures of the view.

If you ask for inner courtyard on the southside (toward the end) upper floors you will see the geyser, electric boat parade, and the fireworks from MK over the otherside of the hotel from your balcony. We were in 6137-simply awesome!

We had a bunkbed courtyard view in May. I think it 5069 which is almost to the corner of the main lobby. We loved our room and had great view down the entire courtyard. I have a pic and will post it later.

My girls and I spent most mornings have a little breakast on our balcony and watching the bunnies munch along the side walk below us.

We were just there 2 weeks ago and were upgraded from Standard to Courtyard views. Room 2023.

We had an amazing room. Bunk beds, CY view, 5th floor. Also a view of the EWP. Here is a picture. I'll do a little mind searching to see if I can remember the room number. Have a great trip.

Aaahhh. Great pics! This just makes me more anxious to get to WL in October. :)

Of course, to save a few bucks, we booked woods view, but requested high up on the north wing, facing north, with hopefully a glimpse of you-know-what. We probably won't get it, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

But I will say that Courtyard views really are worth it, if you can swing the extra $$$. We've had that view once.

Is there a map anywhere with rooms number on it for the WL? So, we could maybe see what was available at check-in with a geyser and water view. Any room number recommendations? We have a courtyard-view w/bunk beds already reserved. It wouldn't hurt having the room information beforehand to maybe request a certain room number at check-in. Usually, it is first come, first served. Thank you in advance!

So far, recommended rooms:
2023 (courtyard-view)
4161 (courtyard-view)
5069 (courtyard-view w/bunk beds)
5125 (courtyard-view)
5158 (courtyard/villas view)
6039 (courtyard-view)
6137 (courtyard-view)
6039 (courtyard-view)

Great photo! I'd love to know the room number! Look on your bill/receipt. Thanks!

6137 (what type of room was it?)

Given that the first 2 rooms have odd last digits, and both are courtyard view, I'd bet the third one is a courtyard view, since it is odd as well. I have no idea whether that is with bunk beds or not.

If you're thinking about requesting specific room numbers, I wouldn't do it. I'd request an area you'd like to be in. If you booked courtyard view, then you'll get it, as that's a separately-priced category. If you request a specific room number and it's taken, the CM's won't necessarily give you something else in that area. I'd just stick with the general area, as it's easier for CM's to meet this type of request.

Thanks, John -- great recap!
I haven't requested any specific area -- I've stayed at WL only once and then got a woods view. I haven't a CLUE what to "request". When I made my reservation, the CM ("King") asked if I wanted to note any requests. I was coy and asked "what would YOU ask for". He laughed and first said "Hey - you aren't going to trap me with THAT!". But then relented and said merely that others often request a high floor, so I had him put that on my ressie.

Well, I requested a high floor, north side, north wing. Again, I'm not expecting an MK view, but that's about the best shot I have.

Don't worry too much, though. We went with a woods view once that was on the 2nd floor, had a view of some trees, a small playground, and the back of the Villas. It wasn't the most dramatic view in WL, but it was still great. In that case, we were right off the lobby, which had many advantages the wing rooms don't offer. It's hard to go wrong at WL with views, with or without requests.

Inner Courtyard room 6039, almost directly over Artist's Point. Great view of the EWP, pool and Geyser:

:goodvibes Thank you for the room number! That will help in our decision making. We don't plan to request a specific room number ahead of time. But, it wouldn't hurt to ask the CM at check-in for a certain area of rooms.

We just checked out on Aug 8 and had # 5158 (courtyard view on the Villas side). We were upgraded from a standard view. Had a view of the Villas and the pool on that side, as well as a glimpse of Bay Lake. Great view.
Here's my pics :
