A WL Courtyard (rack $300) is almost the same price as the Poly Garden(rack $354).
Or should we do WL to Yacht Club standard (rack $334) ?
Would Poly Garden view be better than Yacht Club standard ?
Garden does sound better than standard

We are staying 14 nights.
The WDW CM today suggested us splitting our stay between 2 resorts.
Would we go from a nice inner courtyard (requested) view from the WL to a parking lot and bush view at the Poly or Yacht Club? :(

We spend most of our time in MK, 2nd EPCOT/STUDIO's, 3rd AK, 4th DQ.

What would you do if you split your stay ?
We definitely want WL as our 1st half of our vacation. :paw:

Rates are list for rack prices.
We have WL at $279 courtyard for June 2006 @ AAA discount.
I am still waiting for AP rates - but when they do come out for late June/early July 2006 - I would like to know where I should go for our 2nd week.

Please help our family decide ;)

At the Polynesian, you could end up with a view of a garden, marina, pool, or even beach (NOT facing the MK ;)). At the Yacht Club, you would get a parking lot view, garden view, or a view towards the Dolphin hotel.

I'd probably go with the YC, and I'm sure that you would enjoy it! BTW, we do love the WL inner courtyard view (make sure you make that your 1st request there!).

We were at the YC in June and I think you would be happy with a std. view room there. The YC is a very quiet hotel and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of commotion in the parking lot like you get at some other hotels. Only a few of the rooms directly face the parking lot. It is also slightly removed from the hotel itself. There are lots of large trees and beautiful landscaping also to help camouflage the cars and asphalt.

I don't know enough about the Poly to give you an answer on that one. It is the next hotel on my list to stay at, though. If I decide that a lagoon view is essential to my happiness there, then that's what I'll reserve. If I think I can live with anything, just as long as I'm there...then it's garden view (much more likely!)

Have stayed at all three, WL in a CY room, great view of inner courtyard (be sure to request). THe rooms, however, are smaller thatn the YC and Poly. At YC we booked standard but were upgraded to Boardwalk view, great room BTW. At Poly we were in Samoa, had GV, view was volcano pool and the lagoon in the background. The Poly rooms will be the most spacious, sllep 5, followed by the YC, again sleeping 5 most times, then the WL which can be a bit cramped for 4. Great theming at the WL though and you sure can't beat the price most of the time, although we got a better discount at teh Poly during part of our stay, go figure!

Actually, there are about 115 rooms at the YC which overlook the parking lot (not including the 5th floor concierge level). This is where we stayed last December. Because it was cool and a short stay, we never used the balcony, so it wasn't a big deal to us. If you decide to stay at the YC, you want to make sure to request a view of the wedding gazebo. Hopefully, they'll be able to fulfill that request and you'll end up with a much nicer view. If you don't like what they give you, go back to the front desk and see if there's anything else available. One thing you can't beat is the proximity to both MGM and Epcot.

After spending a week at WL, where you will very close to the MK, I would go for the YC. That would give you easy access to Epcot, MGM and all kinds of new restaurants at those parks and the Boardwalk.

As far as I am aware, there are no parking lot views at the poly - only v nice garden views - unless it has changed.

I have split between WL and BC before. I have also stayed at Poly. I love WL for the theming more than any other resort. I loved the split with BC as it is more luxurious and stormalong bay. The poly theming is also v dramatic, luxurious and on the monorail.

I would split between either of the two as both are convenient for Epcot. However, the only negative with the BC is the fact that there are no buses from the front of Epcot, so if you don't wind up in the Worldshowcase, expect a long walk or a taxi fare.

Actually two buildings face parking lots. Rapa Nui has one side of the building that has rooms that are about 20 feet from a parking lot and Rarotonga has rooms that face the main parking lot but most of the rooms in Rarotonga do not even see the cars unless you are on upper floors but even then they look at the monorail and a large garden area.

Also there are garden view rooms that face the MK directly but there are plants that are between them and the beach so they are considered garden view rooms. They are located on the north side of Aotearoa.

Aloha

Steve
