A WL Courtyard (rack $300) is almost the same price as the Poly Garden(rack $354).
Or should we do WL to Yacht Club standard (rack $334) ?
Would Poly Garden view be better than Yacht Club standard ?
Garden does sound better than standard/

We are staying 14 nights.
The WDW CM today suggested us splitting our stay between 2 resorts.
Would we go from a nice inner courtyard (requested) view from the WL to a parking lot and bush view at the Poly or Yacht Club?

We spend most of our time in MK, 2nd EPCOT/STUDIO's, 3rd AK, 4th DQ.

What would you do if you split your stay ?
We definitely want WL as our 1st half of our vacation.

Rates are list for rack prices.
We have WL at $279 courtyard for June 2006 @ AAA discount.
I am still waiting for AP rates - but when they do come out for late June/early July 2006 - I would like to know where I should go for our 2nd week.

Please help our family decide ;)

I would split my stay on a 14 day trip and I would choose the Polly. The monorail works great with your resort choices.

lots of the garden views at the Polyn are garden views. yes some are parking lot - but lots are garden.

I would go with it.

I think the garden views of the Poly are much nicer then any WL view. There is no way you could be disappointed in anything about the Poly!

We did the same thing this summer. We started with four days at WL and then 8 at the Poly.

Let me say up front that the Poly is our favorite place to stay. This was our third time there. I wanted to try something different and WL gets such good reviews DW and I wanted to stay there.

The courtyard view, and rooms, are great at WL. The whole place is great, IMHO. WCC, the lobby, pool, Roaring Forks..... I didn't have a complaint on anything. Mousekeeping was fantastic - we got towel animals every night. I met the lady the day we were checking out and she seemed as tickled to do it for our two DD's, 6 and 5, as we were to return from the parks and find them. The room was spotless everyday. Side note..... I'm one of those people that hadn't heard about tipping the housekeeping staff until I started going to DW and reading these boards. We happily left her a tip every day.

That being said, the Poly is truly a wonderful resort. The garden view rooms are wonderful. Don't worry about it. Even if you did get a parking lot view, go to the pool, walk around.... the grounds are beautiful, the people friendly.

You can also increase your chances of a good view by requesting a specific building. They won't promise, but they'll try to get you that building. As far as GV, we've stayed in Fiji twice and thought it was great. Marina view both times.

Convenience to the parks that you list can't be beat from any other resort.

Whatever you decide, have a great time. I'm hoping we can be there in early June too.

Garden Views at the Poly vary a lot, so it's sort of luck of the draw! Here are a couple of "garden" views I've had so far:

This was in Rapa Nui

And that one's from Aotearoa

Hope that helps!

you can do a search and look at my slideshow...we had a garden view at the Poly and we saw a beach, lagoon, monorail in the distance, and the GF!! It was gorgeous!!

Just research and request!!!

Poly=Paradise!!! :sunny:

Having stayed at both Poly(Garden) and WL(Courtyard) I would suggest a split stay between both. IMHO .. the Poly has the best location being in the middle of the action and the WL is close to the action, but, is more like a retreat. We had a garden view at the Poly and it was quite nice, we could see the monorail going by and we could walk down to the beach to enjoy the unique view of the castle and watch Wishes and EWP. The courtyard view at WL was quite nice, we asked for an inner courtyard view where you could see the action at the pool and we had a peaceful view of the lake. You can also watch the EWP from the WL beach. The atmosphere at the WL is more relaxed. The Poly and the WL are my 2 favorites and I would consider the type of vacation I would like to have before deciding between the two.

FYI.. the rooms at the Poly are bigger than the rooms at WL. You can request bunkbeds at the WL and the Poly has 2 queen beds and a day bed.

Good luck with your decision...
