WL Concierge??

If your room is on the 7th floor(at the WL) or if you have concierge access here is a good tip for viewing the MK fireworks without having to go to the park and exiting with the crowds. Walking away from the concierge station, stay straight pass the food tables. Go right at first turn and right again at the next turn.
You will see two windows at the end of the hall. Pull firmly on the inside shutters(the magnets are strong) and enjoy.

P.S. I've been told by a CM that the CR has a viewing area on their 4th floor.

I have tried to upgrade to conceirge and have been told that there is nothing for the week I am there 10/19-10/26 . I called again 2 weeks ago and was told it was available but when we tried to book it they said " So sorry it was there a second ago" I called my TA the next morning and she tried and it still is not available . I am ready to give up. It was not available when we 1st bought the FTP and it looks like it may never be .

They showed availability last week for the dates you are looking for.

Are you trying to upgrade a current ressie?

I read that some people are having problems doing that with their AP rates and they have to cancel and rebook.

I realize you are in a different situation and that probably wouldn't work for you.

Just keep calling. Let us know how everything turns out.

Okay. Let me get this straight ---- I'm paying somewhere between $60 and $90 more a night (with AP discount, depending on whether a Courtyard or Standard room would have been booked) for Concierge service at WL in Nov.; and instead I could book the standard room and upgrade for $45/night? How many of these upgrades are available- it seems to me that if you can upgrade to Concierge service and keep your "non-concierge" room, that they don't even limit it to the number of rooms that they have. Does this create crowding issues at the food stations, talking with Concierge?
Has anyone ever requested an upgrade at checkin and been told there was no availability? Has anyone ever been told that the upgrade would cost more than $45?
Sorry if this is rambling- but I hate the tought of not getting the best deal possible!! Thanks!

Unfortunately, an upgrade isn't always available so if you have your heart set on staying concierge the only way to guarantee it is to book it.

I've seen people turned down for upgrades to WL Concierge. They only do so many or it does make for crowding.

Don't worry. You'll enjoy it and the AP rate is a pretty good rate so don't feel bad. I'd hate to have you check in and find out an upgrade isn't available-even if you want to stay in a non-concierge room.
