We will be staying at WL in January and I am wondering if the club level is worth it? We already made our ADRs so I don't need help with that. What else do you get and are the room locations better?

Also - we arrive January 12th - will any Christmas decorations still be up at WL?

By January 12th most all Christmas decorations should be down. They generally come down by the time the lights are out at DHS which is around the 5-6 of January. Many will be down before that as well.

Whether or not CL is worth it is totally subjective and depends a lot on your family and your touring style. We love it not only for the food (which is a nice perk, but with the exception of breakfast, not going to take the place of having to buy meals elsewhere), but also for the personal attention, the secured-floor access, and having the lounge to hang out in. We especially value the lounge area at WL because the rooms are quite small for a deluxe and the lounge is very spacious and overlooks the lobby for great people-watching.

The room locations aren't any better, though, and I'd say there is one clear negative to the WL CL rooms: they all have an enclosed balcony rail. That means you can't sit on your balcony and enjoy whatever view you have - you have to stand to see out. Sitting, you're looking at a wall.

If you spend most of your days/evenings in the parks and at ADRs, I don't know that you'd appreciate CL. We spend a lot of time at the resort, so we almost consider it a must.

Based on CL at AKL I would say no. You are adding $100+ a day for a little food and some convenience.

As the pp said, whether or not CL is worth it is subjective as everyone's opinion is different. With that said, we loved WL CL and I think it's definitely worth the extra cost. When we stay CL we stay more for the lounge than anything else. We enjoy the food offerings as they are a nice perk, but we love having the lounge for someplace to relax other than in the room or around the resort. One of the (many) things I love about the WL lounge is that the seating is arranged around the railing overlooking the lobby. This is great (IMO) for relaxing while watching the people come and go from the lobby below. All of that to say, if CL is doable, I don't think you would regret trying it as the food offerings are great, the lounge is relaxing, and the CL CMs are amazing. Good luck.
