Who has strong opinions on which site is better & why? It'll just be B, G, & my DD (14), & it'll be in hot, sticky, mid-July. I'd like to have it in the morning, but we have absolutely nothing planned, as everything hinges on whether or not my daughter makes freshmen cheerleader :) After we know next week, we can make definite plans. My man is an outdoorsman - TX high school varsity football coach, former bull rider, & collector of assault rifles :rotfl: - he's NEVER been to WDW, but he'll get married there if that's what I want! ;) It'll be our 25th trip! I love gazebos & my DD & I love the YC/BC area, but also the WL - our trip will be split between both areas (4 nts. @ each), but I can't decide which location would be better for the ceremony. Help, please.
Many thanks! :wizard:

I think it’s totally personal preference, but I prefer the YC gazebo. I guess I just think it looks more “weddingy” if that makes sense. Have you looked at the pictures on www.disneyweddings.com to see which venue you prefer?

i'm partial to the yc gazebo (we're getting married there) and love the garden area of the gazebo, the simple elegance of the yc & bc, and nearby crescent lake. our reception is at ariels at the bc with a whole different decor of under the sea. we love the combination. the gazebo also covers you from the sun.

we too love the wilderness lodge, we're thinking of having our rehearsal dinner there. i say go with your gut. the wl balcony is also very pretty with alittle patio coverage for that july sun and overlooks the forest. its seems like your h2b would enjoy the wl location. there are some pictures like ead79 suggested on disneyweddings.com, you can also look at yourfairytale.com under wedding basics, under ceremony/reception venues for some info & photos.

best of luck in your decision & congrats.

Hello fellow Texan. Based on what you said about your FH it sounds like the WL balcony would be perfect for you. It is absolutely beautiful. I have seen some pictures of weddings there and it is just breath taking.

I would suggest that you check on the direction of the balcony though. I believe it gets full sun, but I can't remember if it is in the morning or in the evening.

Also, remember that in July you get the mid day rain and the evenings cool off so it might not be as hot as you think if you did a 6PM wedding. :earsgirl:
