Greetings all you Disney Vets- particularly WL Vets-

What is the 'viewing of MK Fireworks' situation at WL? Not so much from rooms but can you see them from the beach? How well?

We will be there in Oct so the times for Fireworks are pretty early- we won't be in our pjs yet so a room view of the fireworks is not needed.

Thanks!

Except for a few select rooms, there's no MK fireworks viewing from WL. Though it's a MK resort, there's a row of tall pine trees between WL and MK. The beach faces Ft. Wilderness towards the east, and MK is NNW of WL.

We were able to see the MK fireworks from our room. We were in a Honeymoon suite on the 7th floor. Sat out on our balcony for the show. It was neat!

Go to the 5th or 6th floor of the north wing. Where the 1st wing and 2nd wing intersect, near the elevator room, there are some hall windows that should give you a good peek.

There is also an area where the main lodge and 1st wing intersect.
For future reference, Standard and Woodview on the north wing, 4th to 6th floor allow viewing FW from your balcony. Room numbers lower the ##10 are blocked by trees.

enjoy yur trip.

They face the Waterfall and pool area, so I don't think so. If any of my WL Vets friends has had a Courtyard view where they could see the firewoks will jump in.

Thanks Floridacat. We actually wanted a standard or woods view for our stay but only courtyard was available. I do keep checking with CRO to see if anything opened up but nothing yet. I have never stayed at WL but as Sam said on Great Hotels, don't spend extra on the view because all views are good.

We had a woodview, non smoking, 2 queens, right on the lobby, 4089, and had a great view of the fireworks off our balcony.

Glad to help, and Sam is right. There are very few rooms that offer a bad view, having said that we all have our own opinion of what good or bad is.
If you are not satisfied with your room after check in, they bend over backwards to find one to your likeing.

It is such a fantasic placeto stay, I would take a closet. LOL

We had room 6060 this past July and we could see the Fireworks very well AND we could see the castle as well.
