I know this information is here somewhere, but I can't find the right threads. Please forgive me asking the same questions again:o

How long is the boat ride from WL to MK?

Can you walk to Fort Wilderness fromWL? If so, how long?

How long is the walk from CR to MK?

How long would it take to take the boat from WL to MK, then the monorail to Epcot? I know there are buses, but I am traveling alone with DS and a stroller and I try to avoid taking my unruley stroller on buses as much as possible.

Last question, I am contemplating a garden wing room at CR for half our stay (and WL the other half). How convenient/inconvenient is the monorail from the wings?

Thanks!

Hi, I have stayed at both.
The boat ride from WL to MK is maybe 15 minutes or so. It's really a nice ride. You can just push your stroller on without folding it.

It is about 1 mile from WL to FW on the nature path. It is not lite. It is much easier to take the boat. There are 2 boat's. The large one goes WL/FW/MK (any order). The small one (must fold stroller) goes WL/FW/CR (any order.) The boat ride from WL to CR is maybe 5 minutes.

I never walked from CR to MK, I've always taken the monorail. I've heard the walk is 5-10 minutes.

I would not recommend taking the boat to CR then monorail to Epcot. You'll have to fold your stroller and climb down onto the small boat. Then unfold your stroller at CR, walk up to platform, monorail to TTC, walk down the long ramp, then push your stroller up the lllooonnngggg ramp and monorail to Epcot. It is MUCH easier just to take the bus from WL to Epcot. I MUCH prefered the WL/Epcot bus when we stayed at WL than the CR/Epcot monorail when we stayed at CR. I wish there was a bus directly from CR to Epcot.

Taking a stroller on the bus is really not a big deal. Brittany & I go off on our own quite a bit and I never had a problem. WL is always the first stop so you'll always get a seat. The trick is when you see the bus coming, fold your stroller. (leave your bags handing on the handle), child in 1 hand, stroller in the other. Sit in the front of the bus and stash your stroller in the luggage place. The drivers are very patient and will wait while you board and disboard.

Stay in the north wing. It is closest to the bus stop (even closer than the tower). It is maybe a 5 minute walk to the monorail stop. Ask for a room with a view of the fireworks.

CR does not have a kiddie pool or a zero entry pool. WL has a wonderful kiddie pool.

Enjoy your trip! CR & WL are my fav resorts!!

The boat ride from WL, if direct is about 10 - 15 minutes. You may stop at FW which adds another 5-10 minutes.

The walk to FW is about 20-25 minutes along a path. Its an enjoyable walk.

From CR to MK is abot 15-20 minutes.

To take the boat then the monorail you would have to take the boat to CR. Walk to the monorail. Get the monorail to the TC switch trains to the Epcot rail. I would say you would take at least 45 minutes with everything going your way. And I am not sure the stroller can go on the CR boats. They can go on the MK boats but those are larger.

Thanks! Your posts are very helpful::yes::

You both have steered me clear of the boat/monorail idea!

Now I just need to wait for those darn AP rates!!!!!
